... i call this the cellphone's generation. a generation in which people are dependent to their cellphones. When you set up an appointment, people dont usually be on time since they can always say TEXTSI LANG KO KUNG ASA NA KA. Unlike before, where we hold true to our words. Time and place should be settled and only a 15 min. grace period.

in a relationship, i find it more meaningful and sincere when partners don't rely heavily on celfones in terms of communication.

i'm one of those "old school" kinda guy when it comes to a relationship. true, the onset of celfones made our lives much more easier in the grand scheme of things. less of a hassle because a few clicks here and there and you're message is relayed in an instant and it makes life a breeze and less complicated in general. but in relationships, may it be boyfriends/girlfriends or even marriage, the sense of sincerity, personal touch and how you relay your thoughts and feelings to the other person is greatly diminished when they are relayed thru text messages. texted words don't give justice to it's meaning compared to when it's spoken. everything is a short-cut and that's not how things work in real life specially in relationships. you don't even know if the other person is just bluffing/laughing/snickering when he/she composes a text message to his/her partner. expressing one's opinion, thoughts to other people has become harder coz we rely heavily on texting. same goes with IM where communicating sometimes leads to misunderstanding. there's just no substitute for talking over the phone or conversing personally. if love can move mountains, then heck, it can live without the help of celfones.. :mrgreen:
