Hmm last time i heard Intel gave those chips to some of the best overclockers affliated to them namely shamino and colaler.. not to mention our very own pinoy death_metal who had a conroe already.

Those overclocking masters ( reviewers ) configured those systems themselves, also whats your point in saying about the intel configured system.. surely enthusiast can configure it equally.

Those benchmakrs 2-3 months ago are as valid as they are now, well basically the benchmarks now are even more impressive 3 months ago.. the retial E6600 hits 3.6 ~ 4Ghz on air no sweat..

intel configured conroe system where you are only allowed to run an intel selected demo for 1 hour, see this year's IDF.
haven't seen death_metal post any benchmarks on his conroe all i see is screenshots of cpuz, maybe he is still under nda...
