cause you have to master writing, reading, listening and speaking.

my target grade was 7, but i look more on getting 7.5 that way i know that i gotta try to do my very best cause if i just stick to the target, i might fail..thats something you can never tell.

    TIPS

what you have to do is FIRST: READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. if it says no more than two words, dont exceed otherwise its automatically wrong. you can use punctuations but dont use AND, IS, THE, THAT, etc cause theyre still considered as a word.

NEXT: in listening and writing make sure that the name of the person or place is in capital letters.

in writing: if it says you have to write at least 150 words, dont just write more than 150 words just for the sake of writing more words. your points dont rely on more words you write, but if you are below 150 then you get demerited and the trick of this one is...

REMINDER: TIME IS TICKING SO FAST AND YOU DONT WANT TO RUN OUT OF TIME, try to put a limit on what you have to do, leave the questions that are difficult and just come back when you have time left..focus on answering more questions as much as you can.

IN A WRITING TEST, YOU HAVE AT LEAST 2 SECTIONS, ONE IS 150 WORDS AND THE OTHER ONE IS 250 and you have an hour to do it. so try to make use of your time so you can do both.

    TRICKS:
ON A PIECE OF PAPER, write down all those what we call as "uncommon words" that you know that is hardly use like let say..instead of saying its a big dog..you should write " its an enormous dog or its incredibly a massive dog. write as much as you can and put them all in the sentence. the more uncommon words you use, the better points you get.

there's been alot of people who said that theyre easy so what they did is just walk in and took the test thinking that its that easy but its never that easy.

in speaking which is the most difficult part, its not like conversing with your friends, its actually a matter of a word game where you have to come up with all these uncommon words. REMEMBER: you have to impress your examiner, being fluent using those simple words doesnt give you much point.

the examiner is gonna give you a min. to think and prepare what to say, write all those uncommon words that you are gonna use, note: DONT WRITE IT IN SENTENCE CAUSE YOUR GONNA RUN OUT OF TIME.

try to avoid breaking up or by saying AHHH...HMMM... the more you say it..the lower points you get.

another tip in this speaking test "PEOPLE PREFERS TO BLUFF IN THIS SORT OF EXAM BUT ITS BETTER IF YOUR BEING HONEST AT LEAST YOU CAN RELATE AND COMES UP WITH GREAT IDEAS WITHOUT CONFUSING YOURSELF.

i think thats pretty much it.

    goodluck guys!

you can go to ielts dot org for some sample test.
    Nice tips!
