the "body of christ" (for christians, obviously) is spiritual, it can't use and doesn't need financing. now a church, any church, is a human organization, a club. they're the ones needing money and i don't see anything wrong about that. bisan unsa nga club members contribute money man. kung member ka dayon di ka gusto muhatag, then go away parasite lang ka.

with that said, kanang mga church leaders nga mamugos ug pangayo kwarta dayon "spiritual" ang purpose, aw saon ta man daghan man mga member uto-uto ug gapailad e di lingaw lang na sila mga pastor, ministro, pari ug uban pa. kitang mga dili pailad hilom na lang gud ta, wala may balaan sa atua ba. daghan sa atua gapailad man sad sa bisyo, hobbies, etc.. mao ra nang isturyaha.

naa mn gani times among mga pastor since fulltime mn sila, wla jd sila lain earnings.. mgtanom na silag mga utan kay naa jd usahay na ila madawat na allowance kay 2K lng in one month.. then naa pajd mga anak gipaskwela. unya muingon kag profit?

"god will provide"? sige granted, tugtan nato nagprovide sya ninyo, ang kaso syalan pud nang pagkabahinbahina sa provision gagmay na lang kaayo. tagai sad ug dignidad ang provision sa ginoo ba. usahay makaingon gyud ko out of hyprocrisy di muangkon ang mga church nga business ni. kay unsa man diay dautan sa business basta klarohay nga dili "spiritual" pangilad ang buhat? angkonon na lang gud business para magkaroon ug business sense nang mga gapadangan. mas makalihok pa mo ug mas daghan mareach out... oo the "harvest is ready" .. but the "laborers are few" and poor pa jud kay gatanom ug utan.

1) church as an organization -> ok ra nang contribute ug kwarta, normal ra na
2) church as a "spiritual entity" and contributions for "spiritual" purposes -> puro ilad

yah i believe everyone means fear of hell and the likes. backsliding won't give you cholesterol.

it's quite plain:

define a problem (sin, hell, etc) .. (souls suffering, etc)
present a solution (religion) .. (sympathy)
enjoy the income (tithes, indulgence) .. (love gift)

some school of thought doesnt call it fear, the built-in defense mechanism you said; they call it intelligence; to avoid things/situation that will only lead to self distruiction is being wise; the FEAR that im refrng to is the fear of the lord, fear of authority, fear of parents, fear of darkness, fear of the future, fear of old age, these are all irrational fears; learned not inborn response;according to psychologist there are only two natural fears; 1. Fear of falling from high elevation, 2. & fear of sudden lound sound; other than that are all learned responses.
Exploiters usualy employ FEAR to command OBEDIENCE;or to sell something; FEAR WARPS once common sense & rationality; its the best tool for terrorism whether as a parent, minister or just simply selling beauty products;

we support our pastors man. i was merely pointing out na dli kwarta ang pinkaimportante na factor sa among church. kay kng muingon mn gud ka ug business, muimply na xa na it's put up to profit. pro dili mn gud na mao ang tumong sa ubang simbahan. they're established kay they want to help people to know God. and dili sad jd malikayan mga mglisod among mga pastors kay naa mi mga pastors na naa sa tunga2x sa bukid... ang congregation are all farmers. dili ingon ana kasayon ang kinabuhi sa mga pastor. they are aware of that even before sila nipledge to sacrifice their lives for the ministry.

unya, mura mn kag karon ra uy. bsan agn mga disciples ni Jesus nglisod bya. provision can be in many forms. materialistic rapud kaau ka. dili rana sa kwarta mafeel ang provision sa ginoo. bsan ang contentment nga nakaserve sila bsan lisod ilang life is also a provision.

so ayaw ug ingon nga gipasagdan namu among pastor unya gatuga2x rami. kay wala ka kabaw sa imong gipaistorya.
