    Just curious.

Where in the Bible is this proposition supported?

That's because your "substantiation" is flawed, and we can see that it is flawed. Are we just supposed to keep quiet about it? Do you think we are just supposed to take every unfounded claim you make at face value? If you can't defend your position then maybe you ought to rethink it.

I find myself more stupid than when I came in.
Well, if you refuse to learn, that should be expected.

hi just new to this thread and was very amused with all the post here...seems to me ur all arguing different points of view (the non-believers and the believers)...anyways for me lang ha dli man unta na dapat lalisan respect each other lang gud...sko experience kay i just got heal from an illness and through my illness i wake up from my all knowing attitude that their is God...well I do believe their is a God in the 1st place but I guess I just forgot to practice my faith...12 years i didn't go to confession and i seldom go to mass...kay duha mangud ako nahibalan nga religion protestant and catholic...nya naa sad ko akong pagtuo nga i don't need to go to church. I can practice my faith and believe on my own because Jesus is merciful and loving mosabot ra gyud. Y gud ko magconfession nga tao ragud na pari maypa confess dretso kay God...hmmm seems to me baluktot diay ako pagtuo kay nganha rajud ko nawake up katong nasakit nako....wat I'm trying to say is we can't convince people to change and we must not force people to believe wat we believe bec. everyone has different opinion of their own...In it's own time and place people will experience God in their life...so dapat dli ta maglalisay....respect each other nalang good...

An enlightening statement from enlighten. Anyway, we dont question the faith of anybody here.

What we are putting into the spotlight is the "Roman Catholicism." That's our topic, or that's what the author of this topic wants us to discuss here.

We are not here to destroy Roman Catholicism either. It's just that, there are some aspects in catholicism that i suppose needs to be made clear.

Just for example, I can't seem to take seeing some if not most of our brothers attend mass as if its a show. Exception to those who are true to their purpose in attending the mass. Cell phones ringing and even answering calls in the middle of the mass. Are we here to pray or what?

Not only that, even some priests who officiate the mass seems to be doing it in a routine way.

Maybe others would now say that I'm in no position to judge. Again, we are here to discuss. iSTORYA.net - more than just talk.

    Peace everyone.

In my case........I don't read the Bible because I am lazy..........and I don't have the necessary background knowledge inorder to understand its content correctly........But I don't question its integrity in terms of the divine truth it is presenting.............but not necessarily all of the historical events presented........but I really don't care about historical accounts on it.......the Bible is not largely a history book anyway...........while it is good to learn by experience using common sense and observation by ourselves...............it is also a better good to learn from other people who got more wisdom than us and commit less mistakes in life...........

No I dont think you are that lazy. its that the book doesnt interest you. YOu didnt find any meaning in it so why bother to read it.

I beg to disagree when you say, its not a historical book. All the places things that are mentioned in it still exist in the present time. The temple of Solomon, the Holy Spulchre, the Manger at Bethlehem, the Garden of Gethsamane, the Sea of Galilee, the Jordan River.

Unlike Greek or Roman mythology the Bible mentioned personalities who are mentioned in non Biblical sources. Pontius Pilate, Emperor Tiberius, Caiphas, King Herod and many others. You just deny it because you dont want to believe it.

I did not say it is not a historical book.............What I said it is not largely a historical book..............example...........do you really think....our first mom and dad is Adam and Eve? As for me.....I don't believe it.......but as for the moral lessons(divine truth I am talking about) of the Adam and Eve story, it is worth to ponder with.............

and why do you keep judging on the personality of other people ........ how did you know that I didn't find any meaning in the Bible?

YOu didnt find any meaning in it so why bother to read it.

I still believe that we came from Adam and Eve.Â* What would you try to tell me?Â* That we originated from chimps? I cant accept that.Â* Im not a monkey.Â* If I were a monkey how did i transfrom into a human?Â* Can you tell me if a fossil is found that a creature is half monkey and half human.Â* We are talking of evolution here.Â* Evolution is not overnight.Â* SO therefore, the monkey to human transformation takes time.Â* Fossils should have been found the gradual mutation of monkeys to human.Â*

Sadly nothing was shown so far.

BTW I did not make any judgements on people. I just based my observation on your statements that you dont care to read the Bible because you are lazy. Well, if you are realy interested you might have find time reading it.
