i went there a few weeks ago

animals i saw

the tiger (in very bad condition, his leg was injured and the cage was really small and dirty)
eagles
parrots
birds
monkeys
2 tarsiers
about 3-4 snakes
and some goats and rabbits

went there a month ago with my 2yr old son and a friend
my son enjoyed all the animals specially the myna near the entrance. he also get to played with the snakes but i did not. hehehe
then we went down by the tiger. which i think is more than 100 meters walk one way
one the way down i was carrying my son because he didnt want to walk. but on out way back.. ( we used the trail near the entrance both ways) he just walk and because there were also others kids walking with us on our way up my son didnt notice the climb but the dad (me) wheew i was already running out of breath halfway. even stop for a quick rest to catch my breath. but when my we reached the top i mean the entrance, my son was still jumping around and even run and played around the area where the pythons are. and me.., i sat down. and drink 2 bottled water. that was a nice experience with my son

I heard from a few people that in terms of animal welfare this a place of horrors. Then again for people who haven't had the opportunity to visit zoos in major cities overseas it could just seem normal. My own opinion is that the DENR should enforce strict international standards so that a place cannot continue to operate should it fail to properly care for it's animals.

ang mga animals dinhi sa zoo gi atiman na nila the best way they can mao nga gi open nila for the public para maka generate sila ug funds..most of the animals kai gi donate from owners who cannot take care of them anymore for reasons nga sila ra nakibaw..dili top shape ang mga mananap pag abot dinhi kasagaran sick gani and mr romarate and his staff are trying hard to rehabilitate these animals..the government can only do so much..naa man mga nitabang but as you have noticed daghan pa kelangan..
