The 16 teams are divided into two main groups with two brackets. In Group X, bracket 1 are: UAAP Champion, Luzon-MM Zonal Qualifier #3, NCAA #3 and UAAP #4; in bracket 2 are: NCAA #2, VisMin-MM Zonal Qualifier #3, CESAFI Champion and Luzon-MM Zonal Qualifier #1.

In Group Y, bracket 1 are: NCAA Champion, VisMin-MM Zonal Qualifier #4, NCAA #4 and VisMin-MM Zonal Qualifier #1; in bracket 2 are: UAAP #2, Luzon-MM Zonal Qualifier #2, UAAP #3 and VisMin-MM Zonal Qualifier #2

The following are the pairings for the first round of the “Sweet 16” Finals:

Group X and Group Y top teams meet for the National championship. Runner-ups meet for 3rd and 4th Places.

I suppose UV shall be facing either the Univ of Manila Hawks or Universal College Dragons in the round of 16 whichever makes it out on top of the North/Central Luzon-MM zonals. Lyceum of Subic Bay could also be a possible opponent. UV should advance to the 2nd round at least. Next round would be San Beda. Greg versus Sudan Daniel.

USC could either face San Beda College in the opening round. Tough nut to crack! If they make it through they face UV(should they advance) in the next round. Talk about tough luck! Perting taplaka! ahahaha.

Should UC make it(crossing my fingers), they face San Sebastian Stags(simply NCAA's best, this years champs). As if that weren't enough. Should they advance, up next would be Arellano U or JRU.
