i agree to this...way juy au tawhana...hibung lang ko ngano na ROY nga mas maau pa man ang dinuwaan ni James Yap pg rookie year nla...ang nka apan lang pud ani sa PBA k kng knsa murag hype kaau, dako jud possibility ma ROY like Rich Alvares...bulayog kaau mo duwa..pang college level ra ang dinuwaan...

ako pud nahibulong ko ani niya. okey pa man iya dinulaan sa shell pa nga wala pa na-disband. pero after shell, murag wa na jud ayu si rich alvarez. mas maayu pa modula ang iyang mga ateneo teammates sama nilang LA Tenorio and Larry Fonacier diha sa PBA.

IMO, ang game ni rich mu-thrive man gud if naa dominant player sa team kay i don't think he's capable of being a go-to-guy. more of a role player ra man sya and he's more of a defensive player rather than an offensive one. sa iyang size ug athleticism, pwede man gud sya pa-guardon from PG to PF. but offensively, he can't create his own shot, no consistent outside shot or inside game.

mao nimaayo sya sa uaap kay majority of his playing days, he was playing behind enrico and enrico was a dominant player in the uaap. mao taas iyang stats, esp sa rebounds kay big men from other teams try to contain and box out enrico mao nga rich steadily gets his numbers. evident sya pag 2003, after nihawa si enrico, kay ninaog jud ang stats ni rich. unfortunate for rich kay na-saddle sya ug injuries sa post-shell days niya.

i think the best kind of player he'll turn into sa pros kay more of a freddie abuda nga player. hustle and defense ang number one ihatag nya usahay naay pa-spurt2x nga offense.

^^ naa pud ka point kang rich alvarez. bitaw, rich is more on defensive player than an offensive player pud. mao bitaw pag wala ni rico villanueva sa ateneo, napilde hinuon sila sa FEU sa finals.
