I believe Ninoy should be our national hero. He is selfless. He is very patriotic.

Filipinos during his time are worth dying for.But I dont know today.
hehehehe....well on the funnier side, Filipinos today are still worth dying for. At least if you die now, you will be free from all the headeches of dealing with your Filipino neighbors nga labad sa ulo....hahahahaha...

Lol at those who think we're better off with Marcos. You obviously don't know how it feels to have your relatives and friends suddenly "fall off the map" all because they thought martial law was wrong. My grandmother was hosed down all because she voiced out her opinions at USC. My granddaddy was shot thrice! All because some shmuck of a cop thought he was an activist (He was right about that though, lol).

    Lets see...

Despotic and corrupt government or democracy with a corrupt government?

    Uhhhhhh.....

    You go figure.

Sir, we were not saying in about Marcos regime as worthy of praise, and secondly i would like to pay respect for the braveness and for being patriot of ur family member... to point some sometimes we can't blame that there are people who sees Marcos as worthy for example in Vigan people would praise Marcos because some would say that Marcos show them greatness, and also in Leyte where Imelda was raised....

We Filipinos, if i would insist due to geographical situation we can not deny of being clanish.. we tend to closed our selves from other and feel more comfortable when we are with same people (lugar).. like in Manila discrimination to province still lingers which is hard.. and in politics is also in the same manner

I did and to say that having a dictator and martial law in place is like having a nightmare come true.

What is your proof that Ninoy was a communist?

Ninoy Aquino was NEVER a communist. He was accused of being a communist because he was able to ask Luis Taruc, Hukbalahap leader, to surrender during his stint as the negotiator for the Magsaysay government. He also kept his communication lines open to the NPA while he was the governor of Tarlac. Then, when Plaza Miranda was bombed, it was immediately pinned on the communists who executed the bombing. Ninoy, being Marcos' bane and his communications with the extreme left, made him the perfect target for this witch hunt.

Ninoy Aquino along with Bernabe "Kumander Dante" Buscayno and Victor Corpus, a graduate of the PMA who defected against the dictatorship to join the NPA, were found guilty and sentenced to death by a military tribunal during martial law. Keep in mind however that during martial law, Marcos had complete power over the military.

He believed in freedom and true democracy and fought Marcos till his death in 1983. Even before the declaration of martial law, at the senate, he already exposed oplan saguittarius or better known as "Martial Law" and fought against it because Ninoy knew that this would be used to supress the freedom of the Filipino people.
Very well said, bro! I hope everybody who commented against NINOY being a hero for this country has experienced the hell of martial law. I believe he was a hero and the greatest philippine president we never had.

I was responding to a poster's comment about how we're better off with one tyrant than the "parasites" now. That's completely asinine. I hope those who bash Ninoy have actually gone through the horrors of Martial Law instead of just reading up on history. This country might be corrupt stricken now, but at least we have freedom! Freedom that some people take for granted these days. Kanang nightlife2x karon, wala na sauna. Mugawas imung migo inig human sa curfew mahibong nalang ka nganung dili na mouli kay gi-salvage na diay sa military. To the folks who think nagpasikat ra si Ninoy when he came back to the Philippines, think about that.
