Democracy man gud daw ta mao dili angay ipagkait nila kana mao nga katungod...
    murag sayop mani sir...

mao gamay ra ang votes sa us kay (hmm murag maglisod ko explain) ... mura bag ang isa nila ka barangay, magsabot na kinsa ilang gusto ma elect, and the representative of that barangay is the only one who will cast the vote depending on what the majority of his barangay want or choose. or something to that effect... sensya na kay di man gud ko kano ^__^

so mag depend lang gihapon ang vote sa kung kinsa ang gusto sa majority. ila lang gi short cut kay daghan raba kaayo tao sa US, di makaya ug individual voting... na reject pa jud smartmatic didto haha jk

    vehemently disagree!

the right to vote is an inalienable birthright to the citizens of this country. tax payer or not, you have the right and privilege to vote for the person you want to represent you in the government no matter who you are as long as you are a citizen of this country.

what's next? you can't vote if your income is lower than 10,000.00php/month? how about you can't vote if you're wearing slippers? how about not letting the ugly people vote? or those who are dirty and unkempt? or those who can't read and write? or those who are too old?

anyway, everyone is paying taxes. a single can of sardines already carries a tax of 12%.

sorry for the rant. i got to say this, this is a really stupid and bigoted idea. i hope everyone who agrees rethinks what they are standing for.

I agree to this to some extent but stricter rules, guidelines, and enforcement is a much better approach to level the playing field. Like our constitution, the 120 minute airtime limit rule has a lot of loopholes that allows candidates to have limitless ads. If they want more airtime, it should be in the form of debates or panel interviews. That and a forced primary and secondary education program like what was done in Hong Kong. If parents don't send their children to school, they get jailed.

agree ko ani. so what kung morag elitist voting ta. the problem with most pinoys is that we really have an immature voting population. mo agree man tingali ta ani tanan. daghan nato dali kaau madani sa mga artista, pa martyr effect and most of all vote buying. ang problema kitang tanan mo suffer. it's like allowing children to drive a vehicle even if they're not ready. that's what america and other progressive country is doing.

i totally agree. the idea that only taxpayers can vote is plain dumb. do you think that only taxpayers have a sane brain? what happens to equality for all? democracy is for everyone not only to some who think they are better than others. some think they are politically mature and have more rights than those who can barely pay taxes - now that is so immature.
