Ive been running my cafe for 9 years already(quite successfully) but the mathematics doesnt really add up for those that charge 4/hr, unless there is some magic involved.

hehehe... Im not accusing any specific cafe. i just cannot do the "math" of it all.

I have around 40-50 units and i pay 30k a month electricity(and dili pa gani ko ma puno most of the time)

but I would rather go to chipmunks cafe rather than to some 5/hr cafe...(ive been to many 4-5/hr cafe and d nako ma antos ang ka init, ka saba, ug ka baho, sa overcrowded nga cafe)

Nah, that would be a waste of time. If they are using pirated softwares, then they should not be in business. They're killing the internet cafe business, software business, and the economy as well.

You just can't help but wonder why the business is still so alive and kicking with such rates. There's definitely something fishy going on. Pirated softwares? Jumpers?

20PCs ra gani ning ako almost 20k man gani ako kuryenta bayran a month, how much more kung mag PC ka ug 100 kabuok, maabot nanag 100k+ ila monthly... unsa pamay ginansyaun ana kung inana ka low ila rate....

ok its like this sample lang ni ha ur selling candy .50 cents pero imong palit sa candy is .40 cents and u got 300 of em so its like u got 30php per 1hr rana xa imagine lang so 5php nimo nga hr then 300 units naa kay 1,500 per 1hr so kung24hrs 36,000 a day, in 7 days u got 252,000php a week and in 1 month u got 1,116,000php ana na xa bai asa ka mangita ana million in one month so in 365 days u got 407,340,000php a year hows that?? MARKETING STRATEGY tawag ana nya bro^^

305 square meters. downtown area leasing rate is around 200 pesos per square meter. 305 x 200= P61,000.00

300 units using CRT. Dota doesn't really keep the processor the video card on full load. 250 watt per PC per hour. .25 x 300 x 24 hours= 1,800kwh/day (100% usage) or 1,440kwh/day (80% usage)

2 servers, switches, router, printer, lights = 20kwh/day

for an area of 300 square meter. 2 5 tonner( 7kw per hour of operation) or 3 3 tonner aircon (4.5kw per hour of operation) = 14kwh x 24 hours = 336 kwh/day (100% usage)

1,800 + 20 + 336 = 2156 kwh/day x 30 days = 64,680(100%)

1440 + 20 + 336 = 1796 kwh/day x 30 days =53,880 (80%)

VECO rate P7.00 per kwh

64,680(100%) x 7 =452,760/month

53,880 (80%) x 7 =377,160/month


300 x 5 peso/hour x 20 hours average use per day = 30,000/day X 30 = 900,000.00 Gross

300 x 5 peso/hour x 16 hours average use per day = 24,000/day x 30 = 720,000.00 Gross

Note: This is open to corrections.

I don't have an internet cafe. In other threads about internet cafe I always emphasize that an internet cafe is a good business as long as you start with 50 or more units... The importance is the scale... The more units the better the ROI.

Of course the location is always important. Example in USC main campus. There are at least 2 internet cafe with more than 50 units.... I haven't checked the area for quite some time... but I think they are doing very good... considering the student population of USC main....
