BAI, I HAV SAME PROBLEM.. AKONG GISUWAYAN SA INYONG MGA ADVICE.. D RA GIHAPON MAFORMAT.. DISC IS WRITE PROTECTED ANG REKLAMO.. KINGCOM 256MB ANG BRAND ANI.. PLS HELP

help....i have my PQI 1G USB Flash drive and i let my frend borrow the flash drive coz he want to transfer some of his files from office(pc) to his home(pc)... and when he returned the flash drive, i notice that my flash drive wont accept anyfiles if im going to save a files...or in sort can't be save...i try to re-format the flash drive but theirs an error message "THE DRIVE IS WRITE-PROTECTED"...

transfering the flash drive to other PC...flash drive was detected...i can open my files stored in the flash drive but i can't save or delete some files on it..

my frend told me that he used the flash drive on win98 OS..

help mga bro n sis...how to solve this problem..

There is a small write-protect switch that must have been accidentally switched to write-protect mode. Try toggling it. I have the same type of flash drive you have.

mga bro.....wla mani'y clock switch ang flash drive ako, plain raman gyod ni cya...

@viktor....bro white color ang akong flash drive 1Gig PQI...whre man dapit makita ako angh switch...wla man gyod ko kita, basin dli langta parihas ug flash drive..

wla nasad warranty ang akong flash drive...pero everytime ni akong itaod sa mga PC mo detect man cya ug ma open nako ang mga files pero dli gyod ko ka save/delete or format sa flash drive...any idea's mga bro n sis

@navs: try asking your friend how he/she got the flash drive working under Win98. its kinda odd that he had it working without the drivers cuz Win98 doesnt have any default/buitl-in drivers for USB flash drives unless they are installed.

my theory, he must have used a third-party software to get the flash disk running and he had it write-protected by accident.

yes bro he used the win98 driver installer for my flash drive...ambot gi unsa nya pag gamit nganong na lock ang akong flash drive...ask langko ninyo dunabay option didto sa driver installer na pwde e lock ang flash drive? wlamankoy win98 OS dri,,,,dli ko ka testing...

@viktor....yes bro i tried other pc winxp/win2k/win2kserver....working man akong flash drive kay ma detect raman cya then maka open sadko sa mga files sa akong flash drive....but the probleme is...can't save/delete or format my flash drive coz there is a message " it was lock daw..."

any idea unsaon ni cya? can u suggest any software na pwde maka format sa flash drive? i try formatting using DOS...weird gyod kaayo mga bro and sis kay pag format nako using DOS ni format cya...until 100% then the screen display format successfully....pero pag tan-aw nako sa drive..wla man na erase akong mga files..anaa ghapon..try nako format balik using DOS..format completly gihapon then i restart my PC...pero wla man na erase akong mga files sa flash drive...anaa gihapon.
