Hawks' Pachulia makes reservations for future
Zaza Pachulia (left) talks to sous-chef Justin Cox as he checks out lobster legs at Pechulia's recently opened restaurant Eno by Zaza in Atlanta.
That desire to please, to entertain and to celebrate the special moments in life is what led the Hawks' center to his latest venture in his adopted hometown.
Pachulia bought Eno restaurant and its adjoining wine shop, Barrelman, Aug. 5 and renamed the Midtown eatery Eno by Zaza. It's a risky move by the 25-year-old Pachulia, who is making his first foray into a field that has brought down many more experienced restaurateurs. But it's one Pachulia said he simply could not pass up after learning that one of his favorite spots was on the market.

Al Horford: I Bet Paul Pierce $10,000 We'd Win a Game
October 20, 2009 3:24 PM
By Henry Abbott
On Atlanta's 790 the Zone this morning, Atlanta Hawk Al Horford was asked about his playoff battle with the Celtics' Paul Pierce in 2008.
That series was intense, remember?
The hosts asked Horford, who was on the show with teammate Marvin Williams, if he ever got the chance to clear the air with Pierce after the game.
"I never talked to him," says Horford, "but I know he owes me money. Marvin was a witness. He was telling me they were going to sweep us and all this. We bet. And I never got anything."
Asked how much he's owed, Horford says "ten thousand" and then explains that bet was that the Hawks would not get swept.
Bret LaGree of Hoopinion, who typed up the whole exchange (originally spotted on Peachtree Hoops), says that Williams is a paragon of honesty, and it means something that he immediately seconds Horford's version of events by saying "true story."
I suspect few people care about players, in the heat of the battle, saying in no uncertain terms that they believe in their teams.
But anyone who has ever heard the name "Pete Rose" knows that people get weirded out by the idea of players betting on games they play in, and not without reason. As much as $10k here or there to go with a win might be fun and harmless, there's danger in players looking to profit from gambling -- because the real money in that game is in betting that your team will lose, and then helping them do so, and nobody is OK with that. That's far from what happened here, but the NBA has to draw the line somewhere.
hahahaha amawa paul pierce...
So that was the story... haha. Nice find.
I came to look for more story on this one and here it goes:
--- During the closing the moments of Game Two, when things started to get heated and testy, Pierce popped off this statement:
"Ten stacks ($10,000) we sweep your ass!"
He was standing right in front of Horford when he said this. Horford replied:
"My heart dont pump kool-aid. I'mma be right here....and I aint going no where! It aint over!"
So tonight, when Horford was jawing, he was directing his words to Pierce saying:
"F--- you pay me! Don't be writing checks your ass can't cash!"
KG jumped into the war of words....and it lit a fire under Horford. A fire that only champions know....albeit a college champ.....but Horford lives for these kind of moments. So, that's why Horford was so pumped....and you gotta love that coming from a rookie (at that time). But this all started from Pierce and KG popping off a lil too much Game Two....and not the Hawks.
Well what can i say about Pierce? He's just a typical ass**** full of crap! Ayo ni sila pakongon sila 3 ni KG and Sheed. tsk tsk! Mao diay dumot kaayo si Horford niya. Abe ba nako "The Truth" ni siya. Mas nindot paminawn para niya ang "The Big Joke"!
wahahahah ahaka sad ana pic oie... pero maau gani wala matakdan si ray allen sa ilang pagkahambug sah hahahahaha... tinuod jud diay na he is one of the "mr nice guy" sa NBA...
