Different religions beg comparisons especially when they "are all leading to the same God". This is a philosophy forum as well, and I think it makes things more interesting.

To say ALL religions lead to one God is a bit of a stretch (there are some religions who believe in multiple gods). However-- Judaism, Islam, and Christianity believe in more or less the same abrahamic God (feel free to dispute this claim). It gets really confusing though, since all of them explicitly point out that their own religion is the only valid way to God. So if you're a Christian (and truly live by its credos, etc.), you would have to believe that Islam is a false religion and that all muslims and jews will not attain salvation, and vice versa. That is unfortunately the truth if you belong to any of these religions. It's the very conservative & traditional side of religion.

Now for a new world "belief" that ALL religions lead to one God--- truth is, you CAN believe that, and no one can argue with you unless they are staunch scholars of the Bible. You'll just have to stop calling yourself a Christian though. But what the hell? There are already millions of Christian hypocrites anyway, so maybe can still keep your "Christian" label at the same time believe all religions lead to God. Religion does evolve right?

mao ni akong position, details of faith may offer variety of concepts but looking from above and extract the general principles out from those so called word of God (koran,Bible,Sutras,Vedas) we find commonality among them. All offer liberation/Salvation/, all is pointing to their own version of Heaven, All have saints/christs to guide the pilgrim towards paradise, all encourages her followers to live a moral life.

Its a fact that there are many GODs but they're not the Same.

Do me a favor. As the man who once called me a poor excuse of a christian, because I would not deviate from my scripture and conform to you support of evolution, and later perfessed to being a devout Muslim and follower of the Qur'an; who now wishes to conduct bible studies to my family on the proper interpretations of the scriptures and the teachings of Christ.

With respect could you please enlighten me as to your definition of the God you follow.

This might help me understand how you believe that the thousands of different beliefs all lead to one God, when so many are multi-god or even Pagan beliefs. I could understand the term "many of the world's religions" but not "all the world's religions." it does have me confused to your interpretation of God and world religions.

They consider themselves as religions, even if you choose to ignore them.

I agree, it is funny that if All Religion leads to God that discussing God only bring out the devil within us.
