^^ yeah, that's an accurate observation you've got. Josh has morphed into Dallas' second offensive option. not only that, he can also defend. but with the injuries to him, Harris, Griffin and Van Horn, the Mavs still are awesome with what's left with their arsenal. they just won against the Rockets 88-72 and continues to apply pressure on the Spurs on who'll become the no. 1 seed in the western conference.

It was a sorry loss for the Mavs today despite Dirk's big scoring game ( 51 points ). Jason Richardson's buzzer beater shot gave the Warriors a one point win against the Mavs. Mavs still in 2nd spot in the Western Conference.

Mavs Impose Defensive Will, Cruise Past Hawks
ATLANTA, March 25 (Ticker) -- While Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry provided the offensive firepower, the Dallas Mavericks were more than committed to playing defense.
Nowitzki scored 27 points and Terry added 26 as the Mavericks applied the defensive pressure early to roll to a 98-83 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.
"Our main thing is sticking with the system and executing the game plan," Terry said. "We were so sick just watching replays from that last game on SportsCenter over and over again."
"Avery (Johnson) gave us an earful after the defensive outing against Golden State," Nowitzki said. "We scored 121 points and lost the game. That was a step back for us. We had a meeting yesterday and an intense shootaround this morning and that got us fired up."

season almost over.
i think the spurs will be number# 1 towards the end of the season and dallas will be # 4 in the west.
the good news is they will meet again in the second round of the western division playoffs in the second round.
SPURS VS DALLAS. THAT WILL BE A VERY GOOD MATCH UP.
Cavs down Mavs
CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers were a sniff away from the playoffs entering Wednesday. Now they can enjoy the taste.
James took over in the second half, scoring 31 of his 46 points, as the Cavaliers clinched their first playoff berth in eight years with an impressive 107-94 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
Just 17-65 the season before James arrived as one of the most heralded draft picks in NBA history in 2003, the Cavaliers (42-29) are back in the playoffs for the first time since 1998. Cleveland went just 11-19 after the All-Star break last season to fall short of the postseason.
Just 14 years old the last time the Cavaliers made the playoffs, the 21-year-old James joined the postseason party in style by dominating the game after intermission.
