i agree with you bai thadz with your comment about Pingris' hustle but come to think of it, E-Vill is no pushover and plus he can score more than that of Pingris' nevertheless, PF got another potent scorer and twas a pretty good deal.

Pingris brings more hustle and energy while Villanueva is more of a tough and can be tagged as a "dirty" player. The difference? Pingris is willing to do more blue collar jobs than Villanueva. Sometimes Villanueva is not effective when he doesn't have the ball.

i totally agree with you brod pero seems like mas ni blend so far si E-Vill sa PF kaysa naa cya sa SMC/MBM...haven't seen Pingris stat yet though.
para nako PF don't need another bigtime scorer kay naa naman cla James Yap, Kerby and their supporting cast deeper in their bench nga mga potential scorers pod.. at this point nga wala na pod si Adducul, Pingris was really a big loss to them especially on the defensive end.. He is one heck of a workforce.
Enrico Villanueva is somewhere between Romel Adducul and Mark Pingris. He can compensate for both players though Pingris is just a lot better on the things that he used to do.
in MBM, mas grabe ang competition ni E-VIll in the likes of Dorian Peña, Danny I and even Danny S at times..WHile he is scoring more as a Hotdog, definitely namiss jud sa PF ang hustle ni Pingris, mas versatile si Pingris who can play 3, 4 and 5 spots(minus the shooting sa 3 spot)..Pingris doesnt mind not scoring much but iya specialty is going for the loose balls, offensive rebounds and defending..can say the same for E-Vill, although ang winner jud sa trade kay klaro nga si E-Vill kay naresurrect iya career because PF had no choice but to use him kay wala man sila'y magamit with the absence of AdduculOriginally Posted by LanCe
haum c e-vill sa PF karon kay sa migi nga team amglisod sya kay naa mas gipaburan kay sa iyaha...
Big time na man ning mga imports sa PBA.
Darius Rice (Purefoods) -> NBDL stalwart
Jason Dixon (Coca-Cola) -> Resident import of CBA (China) and played against the likes of Yao Ming, Wang Zhizhi, and Mengke Bateer
George Gervin Jr. (Coca-Cola) -> Son of NBA legend George Gervin
Gervin is the replacement for Calvin Cage who fractured his right ankle.
Hopefully Gervin will not be a disappointment. Some might expect a lot from him because of his surname. I hope he won't be another Dudut Jaworski.
Randy Holcomb of the Aces bro also played in the NBA...he had a 4-game stint with the Chicago Bulls
Steve Thomas of Air21 is the leading rebounder of the Continental Basketball Assoc, probably the more organized league in the US after the NBA and NBDL..
Adam Parrada of Red Bull was a former Mexican National Team mainstay..
ABS-CBN or Solar Sports will be the next TV coveror of the Philippine Basketball Association.
The PBA board of governors is now studying the two networks’ bid presentations, hoping to come up with a decision on which outfit to award its exclusive TV rights in its next meeting.
The PBA games will be televised over Studio 23 if ABS-CBN gains the rights. Solar Sports, on the other hand, will have RPN-9 as the PBA TV carrier if it ends up the winning bidder.
ABC-5, the PBA’s TV partner the last five years, has opted not to join the process, sending PBA board chairman Tony Chua a letter yesterday, informing the league that it’s not submitting a bid.
Network top official Bobby Barreiro met their key people in ABC-5 Sports Wednesday night also informing them of the decision not to seek extension of their contract with the PBA which expires at the end of the current season.
“Why make a bid when we know they’ve long been having meetings with ABS-CBN?” said another ABC-5 top official.
“ABC-5 talents were advised not to feel sorry because the network will launch new shows. Employes were also given reprieve that they can look for another job, and it will not be taken against them. Everyone was urged to work hard even more up to the end of the contract. That’s the kind of a partner the PBA is losing,” the same network official said.
Solar Sports, which has been covering practically all sports in the land, local or foreign, including the recent fights of Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao, made its presentation only last week.
ABS-CBN, which also carries the UAAP and NCAA games on Studio 23, presented its bid earlier. IBC-13 and NBN-4 aren’t expected to make a bid since they had been the PBA’s TV partners before, leaving with huge debts to the league.
