In order to keep you wanting to do your set up, I'd advise you to do the sound deadening now. Flashband is the cheapest way to go. Just start doing that for now, you may also might try listening to some DLS seps. They are also very good (that's what i'm using). Some say that the highs are very bright but I don't have that problem.

I think niel even mentioned that his focal tend to be very bright as well. He's got his treble set at about -3 if i'm not mistaken.

@wolfhound: i agree with ccc111's suggestion bro... just to keep your enthusiasm up while waiting for your equipment. once you've contributed to your system (e.g. deadening), you'll find it harder to let go of this hobby c",) c",) and yes, i'd also suggest you audition other rides so you'll know what front speakers people are using. there are a lot of good brands (dls, focal, infinity, boston acoustics, jbl, peerless etc.) that you can choose from. brands are just half (or less) of the story, its the install that brings all your equipment together to create the perfect sound for you.

@ccc111: good memory bro c",) yup, i have the tweets at -3db.

dls seps are warmer right out of the box for my tastes. The tweets of the focals if not adjusted can be a bit too harsh for me as well.. my opinion lang mine's are at negative 3 too

guys usually hang out sa old school (2nd floor sa autobox, near suzuki along a.s. fortuna st).

"bright" is one of many characteristic sound of tweeters and its not a problem. however, how tweeters (or speakers, in general) sound is very subjective as people have a preference as to how their tweeters (should) sound.

@ jeffcee: If you want, naa ko extra box (ABC) aperiodic bi-chamber 2.9cu ft (internal) just gathering dust in our house. For sure it won't fit in a sedan. AUV ang akong gi-butangan sa una. A 12 inch targa used to reside in it. Puwede ra nako ipa-huwam.

Hope I can meet up and audition with you guys. Maayo mo kay sige lang upgrade. Ako wa giyud.
