medyo long read but ako general advice is this,

if ganahan ug growth and long term ang goal(5 years or more), equity fund(ideal!) or balanced fund(conservative investors).

if retirees or short term, bond fund para di kaayo kusug mo fluctuate but still performs better than bank time deposit.

This is assuming all short term concerns are addressed like life insurance and healthcare.

Hmmm.... ganahan ko sa Equity Fund bai... kay 30 years man akoang goal... ok ra?

make it a habit to add regular contribution to your MF...if you can do it monthly, the better. Di gyud ka magmahay

in mutual funds, you dont have to worry about fluctuations in the market or the navps as long as kibaw ka sa imong investment horizon, adding to your investment on a regular basis or as what they call the peso cost averaging can really minimize the market risk esp if imong outlook kay long term...it would clearly beat the rates given by banks....

Matsalams ninyo mga bai.... Another question... what if mag open ko karon December so P5K di ba.. ok ra if mo diretso ko ug hulog ug P1K in the month of december instead of waiting for January? Also, pwede ra ug 2x or more ko mo hulog in a month sa MF?

Equity Fund VS Balanced Fund... I know nga mas taas ug rate ang Equity VS Balanced ug mas risky pud... pero asa man jud ang mas prefer ninyo?

@lodyl.... pwede ra kaau bai....ni invest ka 3rd week of Dec.... then mopono ka 4th week sa december.... pwede kaau more than 2x ka mohulog in a month..... 5x, 6x, sigon sa availability sa imong funds...

i prefer equity bro.... kay higher rates... and about the risk.... pa explain ni metZ... kay naay explanation ana... unsay angay buhaton.... and naka nindot man gud sa MF kay Diversified siya.... daghang blue chip companies ang g investan.....
