akido is not banned in the UFC... but it's really hard to pull off techniques (akido) in an mma fight.....
u can't even really perform techniques perfectly in the street fights, how much more in a mma fight w/c your opponent is a martial artist...

but some can do it......

Anyway, aikido is not really banned but some of it's techniques lang, especially the locks. There are some points in the body, especially the soft joints, that can break easily or can immediately cause injuries. Likay na lang para wala daghan casualties.
