To win titles in 2009, 2011, and 2013, they would need fresher legs. Other teams would just play them around. I don't see the Spurs being a dominant team as they are during that time.nope it's not. they have 2009.. 2011.. and 2013 titles for them. odd number year ryt?
The Spurs are simply too old to keep up with Chris Paul. Even Tim Duncan is being toyed around by Paul inside the paint.dont wonder if ur talking about Duncan because he's not concern of jumping high for a block since drafted. it's front court's lapses against cp3. and that is bowen's legs. the slide is gone.
Here's something that might light up some Spurs fans.
Tim Duncan had a high fever during his 5-point, 3-rebound effort in a Game 1 blowout loss against the New Orleans Hornets reports TNT network reporter Craig Sager.
"We’re fine,” Popovich said after Game 2 when questioned about the TNT report. “No injuries. No problems, besides the two losses."
If the reports that Duncan was playing sick was true, then for sure he's already well heading back to San Antonio for the next 2 games.
^ Add the fact that Ginobili is playing hurt; an injury he got during the Suns series (groin).

As a matter of fact, I knew of that injury even BEFORE the NO series started and yet never did we mentioned it here in this thread. We accepted the loses as they were.
Unlike you, I am not a bandwagon fan. I'll stick with the Spurs until they get eliminated. And to the team that does that, props to them.
By looking at those losses, even if Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili were 100% healthy they might still have a hard time dealing with the Hornets. Chris Paul is so quick and fast and even Tony Parker can't keep in pace with him in defense and add the fact that the whole Hornets quintet is moving efficiently with or without the ball.
Both teams might have split the series or those two losses might have come close but I'm pretty sure that the Spurs won't win both games at New Orleans if TD and Manu were healthy. But for sure they've got themselves a worthy series.
i think what i said dinhe bha to nga thread nga i said nga the spurs are inconsistent becuz dili sila ka champion 2 straight nga permi jud na every other year... i think matinuod nasad nga dili cla ma champion maybe next year but if its gonna be the same line up come playoff time the fresher legs will prevail..
San Antonio is actually consistent.. consistent with their trend.hehehe. Aside from the fact that they win titles during odd-numbered years, they also end up losing in the second round the next season after they win a title.
1999 --> NBA champions
2000 --> lost to Phoenix in the first round (this is an exemption since Tim Duncan was injured)
but lately..
2003 --> NBA champions
2004 --> lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round
2005 --> NBA champions
2006 --> lost to Dallas in the second round
2007 --> NBA champions
2008 --> trails New Orleans 0-2 so far (might lose again in the second round)
The Spurs though has yet to lose a finals series. San Antonio and Chicago are the only teams who never lost a finals series (at least 3 finals series). Chicago won all 6 while San Antonio won all 4.
