What we usually see in the UFC is just the tip of the iceberg. There's still a lot about martial arts other than kickboxing, ground and pound, and grappling. What the fighters do in the ring are sometimes, or even most of the time, not applicable in the streets for a beginner or an average skilled person. The real world is all about survival and we all have to deal with armed and unarmed people.

Personally, I won't care about what's the most dangerous martial art discipline, I would rather look for the more effective one for me.

It's not necessarily banned, some of it's fighters even have some Aikido background. Some and most of it's techniques are not allowed in the UFC because the safety of the fighters are still the utmost concern of the UFC, lisod kaayo ning Aikido, it can easily break one's joints. Aikido is more appropriate in the streets rather than in the ring.
