Plus Tim Donaghy? So those alone would tell that something is really going or can go on inside the NBA aside from the one that's happening on the court and it can fixed whenever they want it. Rumors as they may seem but if there's smoke, there's fire. The Suns has nothing to do with it and ratings will tell that the Lakers-Celtics match will be of the league's best interest business-wise.

The Lakers will make it to the finals. The NBA will avoid another low rating finals and nothing will be much better than reviving the Lakers-Celtics rivalry.

I'm making a bold statement that the Lakers is the team that's going to make it in the West. That might be true or not but with all the controversies and anomalies surrounding the NBA, that is a big possibility. Look at it at both sides. The Celtics and the Lakers are the greatest rivals in NBA history to date and it would be great to see them once again in the finals. No offense to Spurs and Pistons fans, though all 4 teams are highly capable of winning their respective series, a Lakers-Celtics match is the one most people want. Posible kaayo na mahitabo.

Kobe Bryant is giving back to his teammates. Bryant surprisingly and magnanimously picked up the bill during the dinner before the first round series against the Denver Nuggets and his teammates got into it. Bryant and the Lakers once again dined out before their series opener against Utah. After winning the MVP award, Luke Walton asked Bryant with jest if he's going to give gifts to his teammates for their help and Bryant answered back jokingly saying, "You know I will." What came next was more than a dinner. After watching the Spurs-Hornets Game 7, Bryant gave each of them a personally engraved Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph watch from Switzerland which costs $9000 each.

Trevor Ariza

After being out for about 4 months with an injured foot, Trevor Ariza is back in practice and is ready to suit up for the Lakers but he's still got one more person to impress: Phil Jackson. To end their 5-on-5 scrimmages, Ariza went for a slick, reverse dunk which drew cheers from his teammates. Jackson was impressed. "He looked good today. I wanted him to have another practice tomorrow in which he has an opportunity to play and get comfortable in what we're doing," Jackson said. "There's still some recognition he's reorienting himself to what we're trying to do. But his athleticism is always a factor, he runs the lanes, he can cut well out of our triangle offense. His defense is aggressive, and he anticipates the pass. There are a lot of things that Trevor does naturally that are beneficial to the team and the way we play at both ends of the floor."

Jackson suggested that he'll consider Ariza in the starting line-up for the inconsistent Vladimir Radmanovic which turned out to be a motivational tactic to inspire Radmanovic. Since then, Radmanovic totalled 27 points for Games 5 and 6 against Utah.

this is a life-size Celtics vs Lakers poster on the 5th Ave/53rd St subway station in Manhattan. this has been on display since the start of the 2008 playoffs.

the NBA top honchos probably figured out that these two teams would meet in the NBA Finals. they've been right so far after the first and second rounds... now there's 4 teams left, let's see how it will all end up.

It can be fixed whenever they want it? hahahaha you're such a whiner PLEASE! If that is the case, suns would have been the better pick, business wise, last couple of years to advance to the finals, but nope they were sent home by the BORING( losses business wise ) and unfortunately for you, very effective Spurs. Last time I checked, you were crying all over the board about how the league "misjudged" the horry pick on nash and the events that followed. If your silly and ridiculous theory is to stand through, spurs would get no rings; lakers, knicks and bulls would have been in the finals every year for they present more money to the league. To say the whole league is rigged is just preposterous, wow what a payroll! Why do you even watch?
