*sigh, nobody listen when in comes to "arguing/talking about religion".. so i dont see the point why this thread should stay open.. cuz it only creates more conflict and confusions, this thread is becoming "pa-sikatay, pa-switohay, pa-maayohay sa relihiyon thread".

the answer to the original topic is very simple..

Why is it that some people are so blind!? Eventhough that they admitted that there's something wrong with their religion and their ways of praising and praying to the Lord but still they would insist and choose to be blind by their faith... and their reason.. because tradition daw!

Unsa may inyong makuha sa tradition? kay tungod mao ray inyong naandan mao nalang sad na inyong sundon? WALA kakuha sa inyong gisimbahan? wala mo ka check sa inyong simbahan? PAsabta kuno ko beh?!?!!?

NGANO MAN? bisag inyong mga magwawale walay klaro mo wala just for the heck of it lang kay nakawale og less than 15mins. mao ra na! wala sila naghunahuna kung naa bay nakuha ilang tigpaminaw or ang nag simba nakasabot ba sa ilang gipangwale.... kay para lang nakawale....

RELIGION IS BASED ON FAITH AND FAITH IS SOMETHING THAT COULD NOT BE MEASURED OR QUANTIFIED. IT IS A PERSONAL DECISION, DEDICATION, AND BELIEF. IT IS A CONNECTION BETWEEN A PERSON AND TO HIS/HER SUPREME BEING (whatever the name is be it Jesus, Yahweh, Jehovah, Adonai, Bathala, Allah, Buddha, or a cow). God through different prophets.... because all the prophecies, specially ones that sum up in Revelation have come true... including all the alledged "counterfeit manifestation" that John the evangelist warns us about.... even happened in Bosnia to the Muslims.

nah dude...people aren't blind...they just wanted security...belongingness...and salvation...since most of them believe that if they'll die for their faith they would definitely receive an eternal life in heaven...people are doing those religious stuffs because they believe that there is life after death and in doing so their lousy spirits will be saved...well, that's their belief and we can do nothing about that...but can people could still do good things without expecting rewards in return?...that's one thing I don't like about this religion thingy...they tend to lure people on their sides by promising rewards of eternal life and some blahblah things...can't we do good things to our fellow without expecting rewards in return?...if all mortals in this planet will be like that...then this earth will be a better place to live in...

Au contraire, Christian theology declares it is a terrible heresy to inherit eternal life by relying on our good deeds! But by faith we are saved, to do good works because we are God's workmanship. Also, blameless religion that God accepts in the New Testament is to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep one free from the corruption of this world.

Je conviens. People have to follow all laws and rules of the church for them to be saved. They should be faithful not only to God but to the religion itself...that's why most religious organizations tend to abuse their followers by asking huge amount of donations and the like...which is very ungodly of them...

Well, usualy the term "religion" is associated with esoteric mysticism rituals, holy objects which is very far from the religion God accepts in the Bible:

blameless religion that God accepts in the New Testament is to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep one free from the corruption of this world. (James 1: 27 )

simple raman ang Ginoo but there are institutions that because of greed and corruption, with cunning duplicity use people's money to create more idols and more decorative glamour to their "buildings" but when it comes to helping the poor they resort to gambling money kay nahurot naman tanan kwarta para sa ilang mga rebulto, floor plan, og uban pang mga kabulawanong og platang mga butang....

Absolutely. They used the people's money for their expensive churches. They told them that when they give an ample amount of their blessings for the church the Almighty God will be very happy and would triple the money they gave...very disgusting!...
