para nako underrated defender sya kay although dili sya madala sa All Defensive Team, he is still one of the best perimeter defender in the league. mao ng ganahan kaau si Chot Reyes kuhaon sya sa National Team kay daghan syag intangibles nga dili usually makita sa stat sheets.

he's not getting what he really deserve. could be that smb/mbm is just too loaded with guards/wingmen or di lang gyud magamit ug maayo si hontiveros to the point of sometimes he's playing way below his potential. good thing that lordy tugade came in and danny seigle was sidelined lately, at least hontiveros gets the limelight that he deserve. i even see him better than james yap and jimmy alapag yet di kaayo babad iyang exposure compared these two.

it's something like he's a superstar but the hype that has been given to him is something like for ordinary stars. well, basta champion lang ang smb/mbm, ok lang kaayo na.
