Agent May Might Leave S.H.I.E.L.D.



Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) will return to S.H.I.E.L.D. after her vacation with Andrew (Blair Underwood), but she might not be back at the agency for long.

This season will find May struggling over whether S.H.I.E.L.D. still deserves her focus or if she should instead rebuild her personal life. "In any situation when someone is so devoted to their work as May was, but then realizing over the last two years that S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't really what she dedicated her life to," Wen tells TVGuide.com. "That there was definitely a lot of corruption to S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as uncertainty now with the Inhumans being brought in by Coulson. It's going to be figuring out her final decision in Season 3 and I think Andrew will probably play a part in it."

In a cruel twist of fate, though, Andrew has gotten over his grudge against S.H.I.E.L.D. and will be taking a more active role in the organization. "What's interesting is now May is disgruntled by S.H.I.E.L.D., but last season when May came to Andrew with the idea of coming back to S.H.I.E.L.D., he was disgruntled and had left the agency," Underwood says. "But now he's back working with them and the Inhumans."

i wouldn't be surprised if may leaves. there was something definitive about the way she collected her stuff before leaving camp.

Just started season one day ago and finished whole series episodes.now on season 2 episode 13....very interesting and got hooked.can't wait to finish whole episodes of season 2.....

she can't retire. she's Cavalry, she'll want Action. go rogue? i've always seen her as a stickler for SHIELD principles, which i guess have gone up in smoke some episodes back. if she'd go rogue, coulson would have his hands full. but it would be nice if she stays. she's like a pillar in there. andrew will hopefully perform some of his shrink magic on her.
