first we dont actually need MBT as of our present needs... the sole purpose of MBT is to counter an Armored Assault, we are in a archipelago and we are not exporting our miltary to other conflict...

aircraft and ships are what we really need... since we have 7,107 islands sorounded of large bodies of water it is basicly common sense to invest more on this type of hardware.... we keep saying nga we need to shift our attention to external defense... question which part of external defense can MBT be used? try using the MBT on pagasa and it will be a sitting ducks even if we have SAM installed their (i heard rumors that soldiers station in KIG are equiped with portable air defense... rumors lang)...

getting planes and ships are dual purpose, in times of war and in times of calamity and disaster...
