Irrespective of all the arguments you people post out here, I'd still say the money the Gov't or the Church has is NOT being dealt to where it is needed the most -- our poor Filipino brothers and sisters.

Personally, I think they should follow/augment/support this guy's example:

Manny Pacquiao dines with Fernando Zobel; accepts challenge of alleviating poverty by building homes

A small private dinner was held in honor of Manny Pacquiao, courtesy of Fernando Zobel, at the latter's home in Forbes Park last June 6.

Zobel, who is presently the chair of the Habitat for Humanity Capital Campaign, shook hands and chatted with the new Habitat Hero Ambassador.

Said the business tycoon about Pacman, "For a person that has accomplished so much fame, he continues to be incredibly grounded, humble, down to earth, and very sincere. It is such an honor for the country's sports hero to lend his name and trust the work that Habitat has been doing all these years."

Manny now joins the ranks of Habitat Nation-Builder Ambassador Kris Aquino; Habitat Ambassadors Kim Atienza, Arnold Clavio, Karen Davila, Alex Eduque, Derek Ramsay, and Chris Tiu; and Habitat Youth Ambassadors Matteo Guidicelli and Cris Villonco.

Kim, who was present at the dinner, gave his "brother" a warm welcome, "Our family knew and supported Pacquiao noong hindi pa siya sikat, he hasn't changed at all."

BUILDING HOMES. "I Build Filipino pride" will be the boxing champ's campaign statement.

And the Saranggani representative gladly embraces his bigger role outside the ring, "Gusto ko i-knock-out ang kahirapan. Gusto ko tapusin ang kahirapan sa anumang paraan at magpatayo ng mga bahay na diretso talaga sa tao. Natutuwa ako sa magandang adhikain at trabaho ng Habitat. I assure you, you will always have my support."

For starters, the boxer-politician-host-singer has already committed to having a "Manny Pacquiao Build" in Saranggani.

"Bumili ako ng lupa, three hectares, nasa tabi ng kalsada pa iyon, gusto ko mapatayuan na natin 'yon ng mga bahay para sa mga mahihirap na residente sa amin," related Manny.

Habitat for Humanity has in turn pledged to raise the counterpart funds needed to build the homes.

PROMOTING VOLUNTEERISM. In addition, Manny promised that he himself will take the lead in building the homes brick by brick with thousands of volunteers, like the recent successful youth build in Calauan, Laguna, where over 1,600 students volunteered to paint and build 80 houses.

Habitat Youth Council president Isabel Martel Francisco and Youth Ambassador Alex Eduque promised to "rally behind Pacquiao by inviting youth volunteers."

SEALING THE AGREEMENT. Manny brought his wife Jinkee and their four kids, who had fun playing with Zobel's children.

That evening, a memorandum of agreement was signed, and sealed with a "song." Manny was game enough to sing with Concert Queen Pops Fernandez.

Habitat for Humanity Philippines started building homes in 1988 with General Santos City, Pacquiao's hometown, as one of its first communities. Since then, the organization has built communities nationwide, particularly in the southern provinces of Kidapawan, Midsayap, Davao del Sur, and Saranggani. Apart from houses, Habitat has also constructed classrooms in Mindanao.

For the past 23 years, Habitat has served over 32,000 families, built and enabled more than 170 communities and has completed more than 300 school classrooms and community centers throughout the country.

Here's what you're trying to do bai: You're trying to draw fire from the guilt of your church.

Next time bring me working examples bai instead of *****ic estimates. Kai kana akong gipost statement from BPI na. Dili anan so-called 1trillion IMAGINARY pesos nimo.

Have you forgotten that out of the 80million filipinos only 10million pay taxes?

Di man diay dako ang 3billion bro? sige kuhai dayon ang inyo simbahan. Kai DI MAN DIAY dako. Murag beauty pageant ba, "world peace" pero storya ra kutob. Catholics. always walking contradictions. IF you get rid of your hypocrisy first bai maybe you might be more REASONABLE to talk to.

Wake up pud panagsa bro. Ayaw sige kaon ug tae diha.

We just gave you figures and you gave us estimates. Like bringing a pea shooter to gun fight.

Daghan ug istorya pakapin puro hangin..

    Basa nasad ta:
BIR, Customs fail to meet 2010 revenue targets - Business - GMA News Online - Latest Philippine News

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) collected P822.39 billion last year, lower than its revised goal of P860 billion, the Department of Finance (DOF) reported Monday

Revenues totaled P1.104 trillion in January-November last year, up 8 percent from P1.021 trillion booked in the same period in 2009, according to Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) records.

    Unya, unsa nasad palusot nimo?

Akong gisulti, gamay ra kaayo nang 10 billion para sa gov't if mao ra nay solution to wipe away the illness/poverty sa nasud. What is 10B of the 1 Trillion collected?

Kinsay datu ron? Goberno? o Simbahan?

If ang attitude sa mga full hearted believers is always the bright side in spite of overwhelming negativity, then that would mean no one is guilty. Kai "bright side" ra man tan-awn. Dili ni exaggeration, I am trying to illustrate the effects of your mindset.

So if we were to keep following your "positive" attitude, bro: Si Ampatuan, nagmassacre sa mga media ug women, ato nalang buhian kai "nakatabang siya sa muslim mindanao"? Diba? We all know he also did some positive things where he lived.

A wrong act with positive results doesn't make it right. WRONG IS WRONG.

Dili kai "Sige nalang kai kurakot man tong tawhana. Mirisi lang pud na gikawatan ni tokidoki."

Or in a realist approach, bahala na ang pari nanglugos ug bata basta lang nakatabang siya sa kadaghanan. Was that what you are inclined to say?

Or in short, Robin Hood SHOULD go to jail no matter how many poor people he helped because he is still a THIEF. That is my mindset.
Nice take. Yes. Wrong is wrong and the guilty will suffer and no one will get away with their crime. They have their own method of punishment inside the Church (who knows gilatigo sila sa mga Obispo) on top of what they are going to get in the next.. kana kung mutuo kag next life.
Dili tanan nagbuhat ug binuang..
