And tou mostly see an unmarried priesthood because these priests are generally the most effective (despite the fact that all priests are sinners).

I would think that a priest grounded by marriage and fatherhood would be a more effective "father" to the flock, don't you think?

na ma OT ko ani pero tubagon lang taka...there are catholic defenders in this forum...there are also some from other religions...naa gani way mga relihiyon...and sometimes the debates get sooo heated and borderline stupid....so one forumer said he has had enough and would just sit back and eat popcorn.....so na daghan miembro sa popcorn club.....kay ang uban gipangkapoi sa debate....others nag recharge pa sa ilang ammunitions to rejoin the discussion...or ang uban nalipong na sa ka way tumong sa mga answers....maong instead of replying...ngaon na lang sa popcorn...he he he....(sorry modz ha for the long OT post)....ice breaker lang ni....

I dont agree. Being a spiritual Father and a temporal father are two differnt things. The priest have lesser baggages to carry because he has no family to think of. He can concentrate more on the spiritual needs of his flock. I dont think the Catholic priest have inferior knowledge when it comes to practical happenings of a married life. Im sure they have studied it well in the seminary.

I have nothing against Protestant pastors. They are good people and they are dedicated husbands. But for me to become a priest I prefer to journey alone. I consecrate then my life entirely to God and to his flock.

No. That would tie them down to TWO full-time vocations.
