will be trying canidae this wednesday kai daLi ra kaayo mapul-an ako iro sa iya dogfoods...

Sa katong naka suway og barf, pde mangayo recipe nga pde ra nato mapalit dri tanan? Cge ko research sa net pero ang uban ingredients lisud man pangitaon...ehehe..nahan ta ko mg Barf since naa nmn maka prepare. Thanks daan mga sirs

bai ralph,both bogfood are not OK bai.both have corn and corn gluten content and primary content nila kay dili meat nya low quality ang meat content.ive said before,dili man kay sa kusog mukaon ang dog nakauyon na sa dogfood but its the dogs digestive system.bisan unsa pa na kalami sa dogfood but ang content niya dili OK sa iyang digestive system then its a NO,NO gyud na.dghan kau muingon nga nakauyon ilang dogs kay gana kaau mukaon then wa diay sila kabawo nga toxic for their dog ang ila gipakaon...i will never feed my dogs with this brand of dogfood bisan mao ra ni baligya sa petstore.ako nalang e BARF akong dogs.ang imong e tipid2x kay mangita tag barato,pero if magkasakit atong dogs aw mugasto tag dako.why start feeding them the right food?

i will recommend for your expensive GR: go naturals,orijen,acana.kana 3 bai ang ipakaon.ayaw tawon mantinila ug baratuhon ang imong mahalon nga iro.tambag na nga inamigo bai.

I recently talked to Doc Ging about dog food. I asked her about Canidae and she told me there are no bad feedbacks about it so far. But she did tell me to stay away from Vitality and Beef Pro as these contain ingredients that'll trigger allergies in dogs. I then asked her about Origen and Acana, because I was thinking of switching my husky to that. She said she doesn't recommend these products since these have very high protein content (40%.) These products aren't fit for dogs living a sedentary lifestyle since they can't really burn off the excess protein. Using these products on dogs that aren't very active will result to liver and kidney failure. These were developed in Canada, a country with very cold weather, so these were targeted to nourish dogs when it gets very cold. She also cited a patient at the clinic as an example. The dog, a show dog at that, was peeing blood already because of too much protein intake. Recommended protein for pups is 32%, while adult dogs should only be getting 22 - 28%.

I do agree with Nutley. We should all be responsible owners. Our dogs may be smart, yes, but we are supposed to be smarter. We should know what to feed them. Research and ask your most trusted vet. Recommendations from fellow dog owners are good, but it's always wiser to refer to the vets because they're the professionals.

And in addition, dogfood prices are not always equivalent to its quality. Hindi porke't mahal ang Acana at Orijen ay magaling na.
