I am not a Muslim. I was baptized and raised as a Catholic, but in the search for truth I have studied the histories and religious literature on not only the Catholic Church, but also of Islam. And what I found is that Christianity and Islam is at heart not really different from each other, each require discipline, deeper understanding and hoped for goodness for all people.

Similarly, Islam and Christianity have been led astray by human leaders from the original faith. How could one consider one religion better than the other?

It is seen that Muslims are violent, while Christians well.... just take a look at our own government made of Christians! We have corruption in the government ergo Christians are corrupt?

I am very displeased with the direction this thread is going to. Instead of being an avenue of understanding and interest of Islam, it has become a soapbox of others who do not take the time to study, research and understand about Islam.

This is why I am locking this thread.

.. yeah, i'm glad you mentioned the Crusades. That's one event that the Christians killed in the name of God. So, let's not brand Islam as the only religion who kills for the sake of God. That rules out the generalization point of view.

the crusades.. well, christians kill in the name of God at that time its because christians had the right to defend their territory from the invading enemies which is the moslems..
