    1. why expensive meds ang patient man puy to blame because they're not following the ordered medication, thats why pagbalik nila mahalon na nga tambal coz the cheaper one is not effective/efficient anymore.
Dili tanan tao makaafford. Negosyo ra gihapon na. Sometimes ang mga generic is enough yet tagaan gihapon ug mahalon nga resita. Of course, as a patient, patuo gyud ta. They know better than us, we've got no other choice but to trust them.

    2. and for the medical mistakes, taw ra bya pod ang mga doctor, masayop pod intawn heheheheh mayntag isa ka sayop 100 ang saved unsaon nalang kun nabali.

    3. kanang sayop nga dosage/tambal sala nana sa mga nurses hehehe nasayop ug kwenta, unsaon nalang.. naa raba gyuy mga tambal nga masobrahan gamay TIGOK ang resulta
If doctors are strong enough to admit their mistakes, then they deserve respect. How many times have we heard doctors admit that they have done something wrong during a procedure? Not too often. They will rather protect their credibility and profession. There's a lot of good doctors, but daghan pud kaayo ug buangon nga doctors.

I also wonder why doctors here are so afraid of the Malpractice Bill. Logic will tell us that THERE SHOULD be such law. Gipang-implement gud na sa uban countries.

I also remembered that Doctors were so against the VAT and the issuing of the OR. Why should they be exempted when the common employee are taxed?

Respect is earned ... not given by title.

Doctors, any reaction on the Malpractice Bill & Tax issue? I think this still has to do with respect.

Thats a good question! Lawyers try their best to provide proper administration of justice and doctors too for the recovery of their patients! but both professions are different! you can't really compare them! but for the sake of discussion, i think the question is that "who is more respected by the public?" the doctor or the lawyer. If you weigh and compare the road to such profession, the road to being a lawyer is more difficult but the road to being a doctor is longer. But in practice, for me, being a lawyer is more difficult than being a doctor. You have to be updated of all laws enacted by congress every year while in medicine, the drive for updates relating to their profession is minimal. Knowing the law is not enough since if you have a case, you have to outsmart the other party and thats what it makes difficult, you compete with each other and your living will depend on the outcome of your inputs. There is Competition! that what i am talking about. On the other hand, there might be competition in the practice of medicine but not direct! So whats the relevance between the level of difficulty and respect? well, there is always a fine line connecting both.

nangoryoso lang: why single out lawyers and doctor as deserving of respect?

I think that regardless of profession, people who act honourably deserve respect. To paraphrase St. Escriva : who's to say which is more important: a surgeon's scalpel or a butcher's knife?
So for me, it's not a matter of the profession you belong to but how you carry on your vocation.

Lawyers are paid to lie to protect and save their clients. Doctors save lives everyday. They literally hold our life in their hands. Personally, mas mo-admire ko ug doctors compared to lawyers. Not to mention mas lisod and med compared to law.
