but QC in china is good...you really have to look at the company your dealing with...

just like here in pinas...un registered meats would mean a "slightly" higher chance of diseases...

i heard about it just today from a friend and the toy was barbie!.. he said na the matel/mattel barbies that were manufactured in china were ordered to be taken back asap coz the paint used was hazardous. then the owner of that China toy company who manufactures Barbie committed suicide due to what happened, maybe of revenue loss and the problem or whatever. And the twist of it was that the paint supplier for that Toy factory was the owner's best friend! wwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaa.... i will look for a source to back up this writing.. (i stand corrected)

Toy factory boss kills himself after global recall

SINGAPORE (The Straits Times) -- The boss of a factory which made toys involved in a global recall by American toy giant Mattel has committed suicide days after being slapped with an export ban.

Zhang Shuhong, head of Li Da Toy Co based in Foshan city in southern Guangdong province, hanged himself on Saturday in his factory, the Southern Metropolitan Daily reported Monday.

He was a Hong Kong businessman in his 50s and was not married, said the paper.

Reports said that Zhang -- whose name is spelt Cheung Shu Hung -- co-owned Li Da with a partner named Chiu Kwei Tsun.

Li Da was a long-time Mattel vendor and had made the 967,000 toys which the US toymaker recalled earlier this month because they were reportedly found to be coated with paint that contained excessive levels of lead.

Lead is a highly toxic substance and lead poisoning in extreme cases can cause brain damage and death.

The plastic toys for pre-schoolers were being sold under Mattel's subsidiary Fisher-Price in countries including the US and Singapore.
