try going to church ANYTIME on Sundays and youll find out its standing room only. that's why almost priests has to conduct 4-6 masses EACH on Sundays.

Hmm... at some point I guess you might have studied in a Catholic school run by the Catholic Church where you have been TRULY enlightened and educated.

Yes, ARBITRARY morality at your hands. The Church has its own way of looking at things not necessarily in line with what we PERSONALLY believe.

and yes, you want to mold the church according to what you believe. then why not start your own church?

"social network" is just a passing fad. it will be gone SOON anyways but the church will remain as it has for 2000 years.

Uh-oh. This is FALSE. look at history bro. research on what is the basis why "some" plays were banned.

    Nahimata? LOL.

Look at the dignity of the youth today. proliferation of "bastards aka LOVE CHILD", PMS-- youths prostituting themselves due to lack of morality, rampant abortion ,,, call this ENLIGHTENMENT of the YOUTH. big LOL for you.

Yes, Catholics or even other type of Christians in Europe are being secularized, or converting to Eastern mysticism.

Even Britain, the seat of Anglicanism will cease to become Christian, but will be conquered by Hindus and Muslim by 2030.

I have noticed that majority of the youth today have lost their values. So I would also disagree anang nahimata ang katawhan. The social media can be used both good and bad but most info that go in there are mostly bad influence for kids or something that needs censoring. I myself have to discern what is wrong and right, true or not, and I am already an adult. So perhaps, the lost of values of kids today are partly social media and maybe the educational system.

partly social media == equals peer pressure. teen suicide, s*x scandals over social media, cyber bullying and other gores on the internet... "enlightenment" kunuhay ni.

educational system == if discipline is not imposed properly, then it could be "bad" education. daghan kaayong self righteous "bleeding hearts" diri during the St Theresa fiasco.

SOCIAL MEDIA and MODERN TECHNOLOGY did not only affect the attendance of CHURCH GOERS .

It also affected the CULTURE and VALUES of the Filipino Youth .

Forumers here who were born in the 90's and pretends to know what is going on by saying this and that actually are only HALF BAKED when they deliver statements contrary to what is actually SOCIAL MEDIA and how it affected the newer generation.

If you grew up as a kid in the 70's and 80's , you would understand what I am talking about. Heck even LIVE LITURGICAL SERVICES in TV was intended for the sick people who cant attend the mas sphysically pero karon , its no exception , para na sa tanan . Naay gani fight si Pacman sa Sunday's , manimba ug anticipated mass sa Sabado . Are these valid ? NO . Who are we to judge ? Nobody .... Ginoo na mag igo ana .

So why argue about NUMBERS people ? By the way , when people also convert , that is their decision and I would tell everyone here who did that na they converted not because they disagreed RCC , they converted because CONFUSED sila . Kay ug nakasabot ka a RCC .... there is no need to search for other answers , worst mag ISLAND HOPPING ug CHRISTIAN BIBLE GROUPS then in their deathbeds , mo balik sa pagka RCC ra diay.

Lastly ..... nakabantay lang ko aning RONZKIE ..... suki kaayo ni siya lage ug CBCP na topics ?

It seems you're one of Catholic defenders here and I respect your opinion. They're claiming nga "declining" ila attendance and you're supporting their claims kay tungod sa TV og malls pero excuse pa ka nga it remains "standing-room only" every Sundays. I just said social media plays a role on challenging what the Catholic church's claims ug mga information ila gi distribute sa ilang flock. Social media is here to stay, unless karon pa ka naka discover ana, nga every household naay access sa social media. Even yourself, you're currently participating in the social media. LOL for you!

Kung false man gani ang church banned theatre, at least post credible sources instead anang Wikipedia.

I like the way you stressed your points, it seems you've had experiences others don't have in this forum.
BTW, just to clarify my thoughts about you, are you against catholics, I might have missed your true point.
As for the topic, the youth now is what others call it half baked.

You were reacting to my post earlier bro.

what i said "Now, naa nay televised Mass ug naa naay malls ug daghan na sakyanan. Daghan pud kalingawan ang taw so makig compete man ni cla sa church attendance."

kalingawan == that includes social media, the internet ... and the likes.

i never denied social media as an aspect in decreasing church attendance, the point on that statement is, people has more options, and got PREOCCUPIED with other worldly things INCLUDING social media.

and to find "enlightenment" using social media? You will be in SERIOUS TROUBLE.
talk to a real person or go out to the real world to find enlightenment -- definitely not social media.

Or maybe perhaps people are busier and it's a much more complicated world? And thus some don't go to church anymore.

So on your pontifical experience, we should banned social media because our youths has lost their values? Tang-tangon na lang nato istorya.net

I don't think it's all because of social media mao'y nahitabo ron. First, ang mga shows sa TV lang daan, puro love2x, biga2x, the mistress, sir chief or unsa pa. Diri pud sa North America, naa'y gossip girl, 90210, Glee or whatever nga ila story often involves pre-martial ***. Only time will tell nga generally accepted na na.

Canon Law states nga ok ra mo attend sa mass on a Saturday eve kung prefer jud sa usa ka taw for whatever reason. So ngano dili na man valid? I find it very silly nga dili valid mo simba ug Saturday night kung ang purpose kay mo tan-aw ug Pacquiao sa Sunday.
