Currently using Powercolor HD7870 reference design... init cya in a sense nga ang iyang cooling mag.apas sa load..pero at 100% load with standard fan speed config ok rah ang iyang temps..pero at idle, taas2 lang ang giset nga fanspeeds..pwede rah nimo i.manual configure ang fan speeds..powercolor as a brand kay mkacomment nuon gyud q nga dli gyud kaau cya mkakaya ug intense nga overclocking tungod kay dli man kaau gipa.imba ang iyang Caps not like sa ASUS then im using reference design so at 100% fanspeed mahimo gyung airport ang akong kwarto kay murag naay jetplane..pero manual tuning rman mkafix..if plano nimo mag powercolor go lang, but if plano nimo i.take ang GPU to its uber OC..buy another card and watercool

daghan pa kaayong GPU board manufacturers na wla gani dha sa atoa maabot ang product nila... basin ang uban ani, naa na pud hinoon... to name a few... Maxsun, Yeston, Unika, Onda, Colorfire, ASL, Macy, Point of View (international brand ni based in EU), G.Empire... these are "legitimate board partner brands" diri sa main land.

i was researching if Maxsun is a subsidiary of Palit... pero, wala ko maka kita ug write up... one of their offering (from both companies) is 99% to 99.9% the same... the "JetStream series"...

that is the reason, products are priced low... to position itself to a lower tier market... to budget conscious peeps... maong mahal ang mga ASUS models kay they are not using the reference design. their board components are of "premium quality". maong mahal pud sya... nag tangag ug "premium price"... ilaha nang ipasa natong mga buyers... maong we could not compare "apples to oranges" here... regarding on the price and performance. if we want to have an "apple to apple" comparison between PowerColor and Asus or other offerings from the other companies, then, let us compare those products that are of the same "class"...

if you'll look at Inno3D for example, their iChiLL series are of premium quality but price wise, it is lower compared to ASUS. performance wise, give and take sila... naa daghan models na mapili-an ang ASUS at different price point... lain2x sila'g factory OC setting bisan they are of the same GPU chip offering... so, better na mag research ta before ta mo palit... dili lang ta mo go into buying the brand itself...

akoang suggestion during GPU hunting and decision analysis... para ni, atoang ma puga pa gyud ang best GPU that our money can buy... "Choose the product that has the highest factory OC setting"... given ani nila na nindot ang board circuit ug ang cooling system...

Powercolor ( based in Taiwan ) is just one of the companies owned by TUL. TUL also owns Club3d ( Europe ) and VTX 3d ( Europe ). IMO Powercolor isn't cheap cause they cheap out on parts. They are cheap cause they omit "unecessary" features present in so called "premium" brands. Military components, blah blah gives some brands reason to mark high prices on their products. They are also cheap cause of the vast coverage of their brands ( TUL ) answering to each price/consumer category. My 2 cents.
