There was one 15 day period I worked more than 180 hours. My workload also increased beforehand, doing 100 hours in 15 days was almost normal.

Needless to say I had enough of it. I wanted more time for myself.

Time management rana bro and always leave office on time okay rapud naay gamay extension pero not to the point na wa nay social life. Give time to your social and family life. I'll give you some reasons why.

    1. Work is never ending process. You can never finish the works. Cause if the time comes youll finish it, then the company does not need you.
    2. interest of a client is not more important than your family.
    3. If you fail in life you boss or client will not be the person to offer a helping hand but your family and friends will do.
    4. Life does not mean coming to office, going home and sleeping. There is more to a life. You need time to socialize, entertainment, exercise and relaxation. Don't make your life maningless.
    5. A person who sits in office still late is not a hardworking person. He/She is a fool who does not know how to manange works within the stipulated time. Beside, he/she is a loser in life who does not haave personal or social life.
    6. You did not study hard and struggle in the life to be a machine and live a meaningless life.

@Leave office in time = more productivity, good social life and good family relationship.
@Leave office late = less productivity, no social life, no family life.

project management or what ever you wanna call it if it exists... in our sphere project management doesnt exists so we are left to have task and time management.... and most of the previous company ive with dont have project management...

its true that when they decide a small change or update it will be a huge undertaking sa technical guys... thats the reason dagko ug sweldo ang programmer will if gamay inyo sweldo... gibarat mo...

sa amoa startup group we have project management we use SCRUM... it so happen maayo sad amo kauban sa project management...

nindot kung a i treat nimo ang programming as a hobby and not think about it as work. pero di malikayan, kay daghan jud panahon nga production mode or robot mode then mo laylo sa exploring mode. Para sad dli matay.an ang social life, naay techtalks.ph. Join sa community para makameet sa og mga tao nga same of hilig. There are PHP User Group meetups, Drupal User Group meetups, Ruby Meetups, Python User Group meetups, of uban pa. Pero di jud malikayan nga naay mga panahon nga maabtan og tingla.ay.

Programmers have no life if you act like a hero. Like you are trying to hard to finish a task alone to get the glory.

You don't stop working even if you dont have progress of what you are doing. If your task estimated for 2 hours, and you are in 6th hour without progress, swallow your pride and ask your team mates help. An extra pair of eyes are always helpful.
