Don't know why people are raging about this, it's an old design present in the EU.

Theory is that the the new Sith probably assembled his own light saber without proper guidance, hence its raggedy look.

Another is that it could actually be Revan with old light saber technology from BBY era. I would shit a brick if it were him.

and I never saw that design in any of the EU material I've exposed myself to. granted, it's not a lot:

anyhow, the Crossaber(muh symbol of oppression big goy) doesn't really bother me or make me rage. it's stupid, but that's expected of a Bayformers or MCU/Capeshit level franchise. Empire(Return arguable) was the last Star Wars FILM. the ones that came after it are MOVIES.
