On that issue, I think Robredo was able to capture the reason not that many Filipinos voted for boombastic people like Gordon.

Problema ni Gordon is To the common person ... he appears as a hambog , chest thumping, "im better than you" type of person.... not that attractive for most Filipinos.

There are only two mayors in the Philippines that I admire.... He is the other one.

I have stayed in Davao for a year, and I really admire the how Mayor Duterte manages his City.

Duterte will fit the post left by Sec.Robredo but the problem is Duterte is not incline to leave Davao&i don't think Pnoy will pick him........

IMHO

1. He has the option to leave davao. He has been a Congressman before for 1 term and left the City under a new mayor. Currently, since his daughter is the encumbent mayor, Davao City is still in Duterte's protection.

2. Possible, Pnoy might not pick him. His character and background is a sensitive political matter. Some sectors approve Duterte, while others do not. But, If Pnoy has a strong Political Will, then it might be possible... if a majority of Filipinos approve of Duterte.
