when I saw this, silly but I was amazed how brave Japan's activists are but on the other side, I thought, why can't our "makabayan/makamahirap" activists do such things for our country??
point is, those activists know what to do and whom to do it for
of what/whom are they fighting for??what a difference

The activists, who belong to a group whose name translates as ‘Hang in there, Japan’, travelled to the islands with 150 other people in a flotilla, which had ostensibly set out to commemorate Japanese citizens who died nearby in World War II.

The pro-Japan activists arrived in the island chain at dawn today on a flotilla of boats carrying a total of 150 people.

Japanese coastguards, aware of the row that would follow if any of them landed on the islands, ordered them to sail away.

But a determined dozen strapped on life jackets and swam to the rocky shoreline of the main island, Uotsuri.

They said that not only would they raise the flag on the coastline rocks, they would sing Japan’s national anthem, have a fish meal, and then carry the flag to the island’s highest point, where it would be planted.

So ang kaning AKBAYAN ra man ang sigeg himo ug anti-China rally...

Akbayan Party today stormed the Chinese Consulate Office in Makati in response to the series of military incursions by the Chinese government in territories claimed by the Philippines in the Western Philippine Sea in the past few months.

Akbayan Representative Walden Bello who led the protest denounced the provocative acts of the Chinese government, which he described as blatant bullying. The progressive legislator also reminded the Chinese government of its commitment to pursue the peaceful resolution of the conflict in the Western Philippine Sea through diplomatic means.

“There are already diplomatic and civilized parameters by which claimant countries can resolve the conflict as laid down in the Declaration. However, the provocative actions of the Chinese government in using its military might to stake its claim over the area are already tantamount to bullying and a sign of disrespect for the Declaration,” Bello said.

Bello pointed to the “Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea” signed by the heads of States of all ASEAN member countries and the President of the People’s Republic of China in November 4, 2002 to guide the conduct on peacefully resolving disputes in the Area.
Ug kaning video sa pag visit nila sa Pag-Asa Island...

To bolster the Philippine claim over its territories in the West Philippine Sea, Akbayan Representatives Walden Bello and Kaka Bag-ao led the first-ever civilian mission to Pag-asa Island, Municipality of Kalayaan in the Spratly Archipelago. Joining the team were Ifugao Rep. Teddy Baguilat, Eastern Samar Rep. Ben Evardone, Kalayaan Mayor Jun Bito-onon, Palawan Governor Baham Mitra, AFP Western Command Commander Maj. Gen. Juancho Sabban, and a group of journalists. The mission followed reports of China's aggression against Filipino fishermen in the region, and reports of their attempt to construct infrastructure that would establish their dominance over Philippine territories.
