In pud ko ani. Kung makontrolado paman gyud ang krimen, way nada ang Death Squad. Pero tan-awa lang gud ang Cebu karon. Nagkayamukat nalang ang agi. Hasta ang mga Pulis kurakot kau. Hinay kaau ang lihok. Maau nang Death Squad.

i knew this thread would eventually come up..

honestly, i am torn between the pros and the cons of this vigilante thingy. for one, davao has been successful in bringing down its crime rate because of a similar group, the davao death squad. druglords and pushers knew they wud be next in line, that's why they voluntarily surrendered to the authorities. they fought fire with fire..hmm...though violent, that seemed to have begotten something good... but consider the lives that were taken without due process. imagine that happening to a relative.

petty crimes like stealing and snatching to robbery with "occasional homicide" are so common nowadays that even inside the churches, you aint safe. victims of these crimes, esp. those who have experienced guns or knives stuck up to their noses will most probably have trauma or post traumatic stress after the incident. it aint easy. i could imagine them saying, "good for them! they should all rot in hell! hail osmena for that!"

let's be realistic. in our country, legitimate authority dont have teeth at all... "wala'y paak ang hustisya.." so that's probably one reason why this vigilante group emerged...but then, who are they to rise above the law? i still believe every suspected criminal has the right to due process. i get chills everytime i think about how easily human life could end...and how cheap it is. imagine, it is sold now at 10-20k! what if there are cases of mistaken identity? how do they actually KNOW that these people have committed such crimes? and what about the sons, daughters, etc.. of these "criminals"? this is definitely one hell of a moral dilemma.

i admit i am yet to gain more reliable information about this, but considering the news i've heard, this is something i would not really want in cebu. it degrades human lives, even if those lives are that of criminals. lives MUST NEVER be for sale. just imagine your brother/father/uncle being "accidentally" shot by these vigilantes and getting away with it without breaking a sweat at all...

Di man pud tingali na pataka lang pud ug baligya. I believe the ones that are already too clear to be criminals who commit the worst of crimes (esp murder) are the ones to be auctioned. Grabe pud kabugo.. patyon pagyud ang snatcher. Ang mga killer, drug lord, ug mga crime lord man gyud tingali tirada ana.

Bisag parente pa na nimo... Huna2xa kung parente nimo si bin Laden or si Ecleo- klaro naman gyud kaau nga dako na kaau sila ug mga sala. Pero kung muingon ka nga ang lola nimo ang patyonon sa death squad tumod lang kay nangawat sa pusta sa madyong or imong cousin nga nangsnatch sa highway... murag walay pulos ang pagka "hitman" sa grupo. Usik2x lang sila ug bala.

Wa pud ko kabalo unsa gyud ang tirada ana nila, pero mas maau gyud ang gamot gyud ang priority nila kaysa mga dahon. Usik2x lang gyud sila sa ilang oras kung mag gukod2x sila sa mga snatcher sa highway.

OT: kung mahitabo man gani nga ako couzin ang snatcher by the time nga mga kabalo ko ako storyahan if ever iyang desisyon hiwi jud aw, dili nami couzin ky pakauwaw lng na siya... and i will treat him same as what i treated sa mga snatcher nga masakpan sa amo lugar. hahaha walay uwaw² ky ig-agaw.
