sa kobe vs. jordan na thread naa niingon kobe shoots better than MJ.... shoots better up my ass
Stats lie. Kobe has better range than Jordan. MJ made more than 50% of his shots because he drove more to the basket than Kobe ever did. Think of it like what LeBron is doing now. You have to remember that Jordan was way bigger and more athletic than the players who defended him during his prime so he would outquick and outjump them to the hoop while sometimes bullying them.

During the second three peat era Jordan changed his game since his athleticism was not the same anymore, he developed his 15-20 foot jumpers more and his low-post game. Jackson would most of the time post MJ on the low blocks to use that patented unstoppable fade away. That's how he got to above 50% FG range.

If you observed Kobe early this season before the pinky, back, and ankle injuries, he was shooting above 50% for the first time in his career due to him being on the low post more. He was virtually unstoppable too, using the MJ fade-away and thenewly acquired Hakeem Olajuwon post moves.

Kobe and MJ have different skill sets maximized. Kobe has unlimited range, he can pull-up anywhere on the floor on a nightly basis but has not yet fully developed his low-post game. Jordan was a better slasher and low post player but sucked big-time beyond 20 feet. That is why when you here people talk about Kobe being a better shooter they actually mean he has more range than MJ.

I'm a long-time Laker and Kobe fan but I also give credit where credit is due and to me, Michael Jordan is still the greatest player of all time.

    JORDAN RULES!!!!

Kobe -- pirme ko kita mo fumble ang ball sa iyang mga kamot labi na mga crucial nga situations .. or last seconds.. last year if sakto ko - playoffs .. murag houston ila kontra.. tie ang score.. syempre naa niya ang bola .. last seconds.. sus pag dribble kay natapikan man! na igo sa iyang tuhod.. na ilogan.. pagka nlng.. i never saw that in Jordan -- kung magkalisud siya .. pasa man dayon ni jordan... and you know basta last shot -- 100% sulod jud.. ka kobe dli kau assurance nga masulod mga clutch shots..

Lebron -- napildi sila karon sa celtics.. nwala ang iyang will to win.. hinuon bata pa siya so daghan pata makita niya puhon and inig age na niya ug 30 years old tan.awon nato unsa na ang ma compare nato niya kay jordan..

Are you sure you followed Jordan in the early 90's and the championship run?

    o oi..
kasabot ko sa imong pasabot nga daghan sad sipyat si jordan during early 90s and katong ningkamot pa ma champion -- pero iya man nang g.paningkamotan ug g.hago.an , improve every season iyang game hantod sa iyang prime nga na champion na gyud sila nga ang iyang game almost perfect na.. or perfect na jud.

karon prime naman jud ni kobe -- at least makita najud nato nga lahi na unta iyang game pero masipyat ghapon siya.. crack under pressure.. though ako lng jud kabiliban ni kobe nga same ni jordan is his will to win .. but having a perfect game nga maka ingon jud ka nga maka control sa game like jordan does sa championship years nila mura wala jud ka abot si kobe ana or wa nako makita.. just my centimos amigo

yup jordan suck big time beyond 20 ft..

YouTube - Michael Jordan half court shots and jump shots

YouTube - Michael Jordan "SWISH" (master of the jumper and fadeaway part 1)

and oh yeah how bout against the 6 ft 10 cliff robinson...... he sucks big time in 20 ft.......

YouTube - Michael Jordan 6th First Half 3 Pointer and Shoulder Shrug vs.Blazers ['92 finals]

by the way MJ did hit 6 3 pointers in that finals game.. and mostly against Cliff Robinson.. and he did set an NBA finals record for 3 pointers in a half.

You have to remember that Jordan was way bigger and more athletic than the players who defended him during his prime so he would outquick and outjump them to the hoop while sometimes bullying them.

Dominique Wilkins, Clyde Drexler, Gerald Wilkins, Ron Harper, James Worthy, Bernard King,

I dont think those guys were small and if you have seen them play .. yes those players were also high flyers like mj.........

and lets not forget he did even play against Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, Eddie Jones, Cedric Ceballos etc. and even the young Kobe Bryant in the 90's

    on topic

watch this vid.. and see how tough it is in the Jordan era......

YouTube - Michael Jordan vs 90's defenses, the breakdown Vol 1 Part 1

todays game kay gi design mostly para sa mga guards...

how bout Tony Parker karon na era na makasayon sayon ra og drive sa basket..
in MJ's time foul songgo gyud hehehe..

mao bitaw na ka average gihapon og 20 ppg si MJ sa iya wizards days kay tungod sa ka weakling sa depensa...
