What we need to understand is that a great majority of the population ARE the blissful ones. They are often referred to as The Masses. You really can't shoo them off. And you also can't herd The Masses by grabbing them by their necks and dragging them to one direction na murag mga baka. They will opt to be where they are today, afraid to move or mosugal sa kinabuhi kay basin mapakyas nya mosamot noon ang kalisud sa iyang kahimtang.

Someone with a vision will need to step up and show his/her great idea that leads to success, or at least a better way of life. Things like this inspires people. Well, it doesn't really have to be great, but even in small things, for as long as it puts a reader in the right frame of mind and moves him/her to better his current situation then it's good enough (I think).

That's why, at least for me, it's good to highlight certain individuals' achievements because these will serve as inspiration to at least someone out there.

And if we can't inspire the present Generation of Pinoys kay mga gahi na ug ulo, then at least let us inspire the younger Generations.

My point is that even here in iStorya.net, though most of you may think na forum ra ni nya postē ra mo, pero the way I see it we have an unspoken responsibility to highlight achievements that inspire our own people. I believe that what we post in here has an influence on the readers. It's as simple as that....

Now I need to go grab my lunch.

Simple ra man sad akong gihangyo -- enough with the Pinoy bashing. We are supposed to be the younger Generation (wait ... young ba ka?) sa mga nauna nato so we should have been "better" than them.

Pero since after all this time wa lang gihapon asenso atong nasud, we can conclude that we have become like the previous Generation.

We need to move away from that ... and Pinoy-bashing is not the way.

I was actually referring to the blissful ones here in this thread. Because if this thread gets swarmed by the blissful ones, nothing will be learned out of it.

Don't get me wrong, inspiration is always a good thing. It feels great to watch Manny win every fight and to see Charice making it big in other countries. The question here is after all of those are said and done, then what? Did they produce more jobs? Did they invite in more investors? Will our economy suddenly bloom because the Philippines was mentioned in some boxing match or concert? No. (Why not make a separate thread for that?)

My point is that I'm 95% sure that most of the Istoryans here are either youth or young adults that are almost or already exposed to the outside world or even abroad. They will also be/ already are the voting population that we have now, and for the next couple of decades. God forbid, I don't think this country can take another Erap in the Presidency.

What our Istoryans need is education, and I'm not just talking about schools. They need to read, listen, and talk about things relevant to the place they live in. That is, I believe, what a forum is all about.

Look what happened to the previous Presidential elections. It's undeniable that most of the masses voted for their candidate who "inspired" them the most, the one who had a "good background" and the one who "will sugpo corruption". Look at how much we've improved.

Again, my point here is that it is not bad to discuss our nations flaws, because if we keep on looking at what is "inspirational", it'll be difficult to realize that just by talking about simple things, we might unconsciously incorporate the solutions in our daily lives.

Lets face it, Life on earth is UNFAIR.

We should live or life thinking "It should Start With ME", "I AM The Start" - help others as much as you can, Contribute as Much as you can, Give as much as you can Because at the end of the day, even if you fail you will still be happy and proud.

I define A Filipino as: happy, honest, hardworking, courageous and patriotic.

I'm and will always be proud being a Filipino kay

    2. naa ghapon ko nagtrabaho sa pinas, helping in my own little way.
