Di sad natu sila ma blame since nobody pays the standard 10% professional fee. SO asa sila mamawi?, mag design build, pero nangontrata na diay to. Its a dysfucntional system. Maypa ang wedding planner/photo/video business. ONe day event, same day edit, one week pre-nup whatever, wa jud palag, bayad dretso.

At least in my side, dili nako ma ilad ug architect...

Naa ko architect amigo, I asked him if pila iyang estimate cost magpa buhat ug balay. Ingon siya, karon nga time mag range ug 12k to 15k per square meter. Actually, if ikaw mangunay pag manage, this cost could lower to 10k per square meter.

Unya kay kaila lagi pud, kay same school, kami-kami ra pud eda'ra...mao to dali ra kaayo nasabut ang design and build project. Naay bill of materials, pero I did not bother to check kay murag mahalon gyud pud tan-awn ang computer simulated nga picture sa kusina...nabuking ra gyud kay one day, nasipyat ug interpret ang iyang panday sa pag tabas sa marine plywood, so ako gikwenta ang plywood nga wala pa ma tabas...ingon ko ahhh, ok pa kay naa pa may daghan dinha...i reserve lang ng sipyat sa ubang part sa design. Didto na nako nahibaw-an nga ang presyo sa plywood murag taas man.

Pag check nako sa hardware, oi patong man ug 800pesos. unya pag check nako sa total project cost, gibutang pa gyud ang 40% nga fee...so, nahimutang nga ang patong niya nga 800pesos gipatongan pa pud niya ug 40%...double doble triple quadruple gyud ang iyang ginansiya...baga kaayo ug nawong.

Nailad ko niya pero at least in my circle of friends, ilado na siya sa iyang pagka notorious.

thanks for the up sis, but please do not advertise here, and besides your father is not competing fairly, it destroys the reputation of the profession, sorry to tell this but he's ruining the future of the architecture students here in our country, i don't know why his charging that low, foremans and pandays do that (which is illegal and its a criminal act) but Registered and Licensed Architects should not do the same. They should compete fairly and do it in a right way, not in a "pakyaw" system, and should work with ethics, di lang unta makisabay sa panahon,,sayang ang gihaguan pagcollege and all the efforts just to reach that level to be called an architect. Dili baya sayun mag-architect, it has a big role in shaping the environment to keep the balance between man-made and the nature. if anything goes wrong in the building he design, the architect is liable for it for 15 years and the first on the line to be interrogated. for sure 5k is not enough to pay a lawyer just to defend the architect.

ang use sa archi guys is they can make your house look better,
Remember every hour or day sa trabahante counts.

If you look at a house, you will really know if naay architect or wala.
Dili tanan architect mau.
