if you're into greek mythology -- for starters you may try iliad and odyssey...
Hundred Years of Solitude is a piece of literature that won Gabrielle Garcia Marquez the Nobel Prize.....If you're going to read it, you will amaze by how the author convey his ideas....its different and unique style of presentation is really unexplainable....
Try read this book...and you won't regret it.....
Of Love and Other Demons by Gabrielle Garcia Marquez is also nice. but Hundred Years of Solitude is my favorite.
hey carlo!!! i just got turned on to Neil Gaman!! he's damn good.. I just finished reading his collection of short stories called "smoke and mirrors" and i'm now half way thru "american gods"!! Really cool stuff!! Do you have any of his graphic novels?? "neverwhere" or the "sandman" series??
by the way, other recommended readings.. "memoirs of a geisha", i forgot the author.. but it's a very beautiful tale about the life of a geisha, and a wonderful account of pre-war and post war japan!!! Its a very dramatic yet poignant story..
Another book i really loved reading was "The Celestine Prophecy".. I think the only James Redfield book worth reading.. (sorry all redfield fans out there!!!) Its not purely a new age book.. It's quite full of life's little lessons...
to be continued..
When I was collecting comics, I wasn't really into Gaiman. It was only later, when I wanted to learn how to write comics, that I read stuff of his. I've got American Gods, an issue of the Sandman comic (#5) that I picked up at a bargain bookstore, a Green Lantern/Superman story he wrote, and SANDMAN: BOOK OF DREAMS - a collection of short stories by other writers based on his comic.Originally Posted by CuJo!!!
"the tribes of palos verdes" nindot. look for it. i forgot the author lang kinsa to sya. one of the best para nako. "prince of tides" by pat conroy pud. cheesy kau na movie pero nindot kau ang book. "bridges of madison county" is a really bittersweet book. sakit.. celestine prophecy? it was nice pero bati kau ang ending uy atay nlng. gamay ra kau ang authors nga kibaw mo end ug story. samot na ang the alchemist. d ko kasabot ngano daghan kau ganahan ana na book (sori alchemist fans out there!).
i've read the celestine prophecy. and i honestly can see energy at the tip of my fingers. might that be just my imagination?

It gave me an insight into how i was brought up, and how my parents treated me as a kid has affected my whole outlook in life!!! A must read!!
