Yes, that's true. But you need to get a 1-2year contract, mostly 2 years. It might seem cheaper but in the long run you'll pay the same. I was going to get a contract for the Desire HD from a top mobile network here in EU(I'm in EU now), but I noticed that I will actually pay around the same amount within 2 years. Well, maybe not exactly, you can still save maybe 10-30 Euros with a contract. And it goes the same for iPhone and other smartphones as well.

If you can get a cheap iPhone contract, you could even get a cheaper Android contract. Anyway, I was supposed to get a contract but my being FILIPINO didn't allow me to. So I bought the regular open phone.

In the long run it will still be cheaper, if you buy the iphone4 from globe and pay 38k for prepaid vs you go to globe and get it for post payed and pay 38k for divided into 2yrs but with consumable credits is another thing, I got my phone from globe and infact its about 50% cheaper if I get a subscription but the inconvenience of getting the papers/requirements and falling in line to globe to pay monthly ticked me off.

mahal ang contract sa US. maybe $60 a month man tingali plus 199 for the phone. so mas cheaper ang prepaid sa globe.

well regarding the hardware definitely Android...removable batt, etc...but i've also got to hand it to iphone for their wonderful apps and games. Im just hoping more and more iphone apps and games be ported over to Android.

    iOS for me. (iPad)
Since it's very fast and UI is very slick and very familiar too.

jailbreak it, put iFile app and you have a full system access

Android, too many devices, don't confuse me ok. the OS nice though
