interesting topic.. ang problema: asa nato sugdan nga matarung ang local music industry. industry, as in, kita ang muhimu sa atung mga kanta, ang mga banda naay kalambuan ug pinaagi sa ilang pagtukar, aron maka ingun jud ta nga na-develop jud ang cebu music.

a friend and i talked about this, and the difference between cebu and manila music are two words: scene and industry. sa manila, naa sila music industry; diri sa cebu, music scene. and ang maayo nga mode where cebu bands can develop ug ayo is when a music industry is developed.

in regard to the topic nga dili maayo ang development for cebu bands, i think it's a wholistic thing jud. to make an improvement from the current state of affairs kinahanglan tanan: from venue owners, promoters, organizers, even the musicians themselves --- but this is too wide a generalization. ingun pa sa akong amigo, sugdan daw ang development na sa mga musikero, before makahatag ug support ang mga organizers, ug ma-appreciate sa listeners.

is it even necessary to assume that the bands should be paid or not? it just hurts me to hear that there are talents that go through so much to please the listening ear of cebu, and end up not getting paid at all for their hard work. what the hell are the bands going to look forward to in the first place aside from the fun of the gig? i mean all their hard work for nothing? that isn't right animal, congrats for being so straightforward. wahahaha. :mrgreen:

not getting paid does not mean no good..for a band there should be a give-and-take attitude towards TF's,and so are the production people and etc. both parties should become sensitive to ones needs
IMO it's a healthy exercise to keep the ball rolling in the music scene as eventually it will develop to become an industry..
