thanks again mga master sa mga feedback. actually, wala man ko magmention na bation nato ang initial photo ug ngano man sad kung pwede nindoton daan bef. i- PP? that's why we have LCD's @ the back of our cams. and regarding interest? i think my gear acquisition & years of shooting explains it. Just take a good look @ mr. Aguels photos, i dont think that those were shot using Php100,000.00 plus lenses or I maybe wrong but pwerte gyung nindota IMHO. bsan tingai kit lens lang iyang gigamit ingon ani tingai gihapon ang labas kai ngilngig cya mo PP and atong balihon sa ubang naai super mahal na lenses pusta ko dili katupong aning iyang mga pics. ang tumong ug tinguha ani nga post kai "is it worth it" buying 1.4's and other specialized lenses nga naamai PS? for me, it is worth it and i thank radiostar for the tip. And abi nako human nani atong last reply nako. Pero para mas mo alegre.....,,,padayon ta! Expensive Lenses VS Photoshop (or other softwares)

there is always a right tool for the right job...

when your on photography the right tools for you will be a camera and lens...

photoshop will be your tool for enhancing...

you cannot capture moments using photoshop alone but you can enhance it by the help of it...

photography is not cheap... all gears cost you money even photoshop is not cheap except if you bought it in your suking japeyks tindahan

    now which is more reliable?
    photoshop or lenses?

if you invest on lenses you can use it for years
if you invest in softwares you need to consider upgrades and of course your rigs a new version of photoshop will be obsolete next few months or so...

you can mimic expensive lens using photoshop but the output will not be natural...

dave hill invest on lens, lights, camera, light modifier and time scouting on locations, a right time to shoot, choosing his subjects, and planning on his theme of course he also invest his time on post processing but before he jumps on to post processing all of his shots are properly delivered, properly lit, composed, etc.

    cheers!

i agree on this. and one thing i observed, most people here doing digital photography seems like they want to dodge PP as much as possible. Some people even just want to use their SOOC photos which is not bad but I think you can enhance it to look its best thru photoshop. IMHO, you can never separate photography and photo enhancing. For me, it's one of the best thing of digital photography. Even way back on the time of Leicas and 35mm cameras, they even do PP. They used emulsions, improvised darkrooms, and lots stuff to produce effects they want on their photo. Now going back, @ TS, go buy ur lense dude, it should kick a*$. Then learn photoshop.

    btaw...

    agree ko sa post above...

some people stick to their photos as SOOC.
sayang lng kaau nga inig tan-aw nato, kabalo jud ta nga pwede unta to mabetter through PP.
as stated above, gibuhat gani ang PP sa mga film users, how much more sa digital world na.

    going back to the topic,
if you have the money, invest on lenses.
there's always a good feel to knowing na you made a photo look good through PP.
pero layo ra na if you shot it and made it look good with most of the work done inside your camera.

and who knows, maguba pa lng imong pc, saon nimo pag PP... hihi

SOOC? pardon me bai? insa na? hehehe
basta for me, the lens output is better than the PP output...
let's just not forget that the PP is done only to ENHANCE the image and NOT Manipulate it...
kung ma manipulate nalng man gani, pag graphic artist nalang... dli photographer..
