her first album are all covers, i dont mind that in her first album shes not singing her own songs yet cause shes introducing a 'new' music genre into the philippine market and trying to make it to mainstream and thats bossa nova.

Take for example MYMP most if not all of their songs are revival but they put a different flavor to it - now that gave popularity to MYMP, same goes to Sitti.

Try listening to other tracks from her album (not only Girl from Ipanema) and maybe you'd understand why. =p

I was there during her launching album in Ortigas Park. She sounds even better in person!

Maybe she's doing covers to introduce her brand of music to the filipinos. I hope she does originals and write her own song later on. =)
