this one's a tough choice bcuz i adore both bands. but bcuz of my affinity to grunge, i'd go for nirvana. but i'm not saying it's better, more kickass than metallica... really, you can't compare the 2.

Metallica vs. Nirvana? That's like comparing apples and oranges. While they're both rock groups, they have distinctively different sounds.

While I like Metallica, I would take Nirvana in a heartbeat.
