mailhan nimo nga sakto ang exposure kung naa sa zero (0) ang indicator.

    photo taken from dpreview.

    kanang naay red arrow bro.

shooting the fountain... yes triod is really necessary kay you'll be shooting with a SS of around 1-2 secs with the aperture wide open. lowlight long exposures better keep your ISO to a minimum to minimise noise. this only applies to static subjects ha. try this setting daw. SS=1-2 secs, f=pinaka minimum, ISO=200. please use a tripod. hehe kitlens bro walay problema. im using kitlens ra sad.

no prob bro. by the way go to a slower speed pa jud kung dili makuha imong desired brightness. after getting a cam, the next important thing jud is the tripod. hehe

share lang ko gamay sa akong nasabtan, lisud man e generalize ang exposure referring to the entire photo. one photo can have a properly exposed portion, under-exposed portion, over-exposed portion or the combination of the 3. Mao na naa metering mode to determine asa imo ganahan e properly exposed. but still, it is not a guaranteed result. scene condition may not be the same the time you are metering and the time you are shooting. so mao nasad na naa tay exposure lock or something we go into MANUAL mode for "NOT SO" total control sa imo shooting mode ganahan. naa sad lain sources maka affect sa exposure, like external flash, sunlight, ug uban pang external light source. murag taas man e explain gyud tanan, so basa basa nalang gyud sa mga resources available (internet, books, etc)

everytime you start a shoot do you custom your white balance?

    Again, learn the Zone System.

    Go back to https://www.istorya.net/forums/6356352-post18.html

If you're using AV, the exposure indicator would always be at zero and this is the reason why AV users use exposure compensation. Manual shooters look at the exposure indicator to determine if the color of their subject is falling under the correct zone.

Do this simple test. Put your camera on AV, find something really white and zoom in until all you see is white. Shoot and the resulting photo would show gray. Find something black and zoom in until all you see is black. Shoot and the photo would still be gray.

Putting the exposure indicator at zero means you are exposing for middle gray. When you shoot a morena or moreno like Cesar Montano, then you'd get the correct exposure. However, if you shoot an American, you'd be underexposing by 1 stop because when shooting Caucasians, the exposure indicator should be under +1.
