can omega 3, 6 and 9 help bring the blood pressure to normal level?
b4 replying, id like 2 say that eggs is actually good 4 u...... "taking fat is bad" is actually a myth according to the book Ultrprevention by Dr. Mark Hyman.Originally Posted by worldwide
Omega classification of these fats refers to the chemical structure of unsaturated fats (the number corresponds to the locations on the fats molecule whre the hydrogen atom joins onto it).
Deficiency to any of the omega oils limits our ability to manufacture the full array of fats needed in our bodies for healthy cells, organs and tissues (our bodies are normally about 15-30% fat by weight, depending on gender and body composition).
Sources for Omega-3 : fish, flaxseed, omega-enriched eggs, organic canola oil, walnuts brazil nuts, and sea vegetables.
Omega-6: evening primrose oil, blackcurrant oil, borage oil, nuts and seeds.
Omega-9 Olive oil, avocadoes and nuts like almonds.
Today's well informed doctors recommend giving omega-3 fat to heart attack patients to avoid second attacks. Why? These fats thin the blood and reduce the stickiness of platelets. They also reduce inflammation, triglyceride levels, and blood pressure and increase HDL.
I recommend the book for all those who got any health problem.....

before, my cardiologist told me i was hypertensive due to high amount of stress. i took a turn away from stressful activities and stressful profession. but still i can't seem to fend-off the thought that being hypertensive is way too risky plus the amount of life's pleasures it could take away from you.Originally Posted by Onins
